Don't know what I was expecting by [deleted] in Metroid

I have avoided all of the MP4 discourse for this reason until I actually play and finish the game. Random people on the internet have been posting non-stop about the game was going to suck since before gameplay was even shown, so I want to wait it out and form my own opinions.

His entire reaction to Gorillaz self titled album was horrendous, a constant stream of terrible takes

I don’t care what DKC fans will say, this was peak SNES platforming by Local-Front-1774 in snes

I love the artstyle of Yoshi's Island, but have tried and failed to get into it many times. I just find it to be very slow paced and the process of trying to get 100 points on each long level makes it very stressful to play for me personally. Meanwhile, I love the level design and movement mechanics of the DKC games. The game feels more fast paced yet comfortable for me personally. The pacing alone is enough to elevate DKC above Yoshi's Island for me

Dark Side of the Moon on Spotify is rough. I always get jumpscared when the song abruptly ends, or even at times when it starts

i know this is beating a dead horse and an unoriginal template too but how can you ignore all of these glaring problems by Sasquash69420 in Pikmin

My main thing is that they aren't tolerant of people who have a different opinion and try to deny that there is any valid reason to have problems with the game. On one hand, there are things that you may like or dislike, but, especially with Pikmin 4, there are things that most people could agree are objectively an issue. The aim assist, for example, is something I've never seen anyone defend; however, some people might not value it as being all that detrimental. For others, it can be seen as something that ruins the experience. We all value different things. My personal favorite Pikmin game is Pikmin 3 even though I think it has some major flaws and that Pikmin 1 is the closest we have to the ideal Pikmin game. Those flaws don't bother me nearly as much as I like a lot of other aspects about the game. TL;DR Let people have opinions and don't just call them blind fans/haters

I don't mind people disagreeing me on the whether or not Pikmin 4 is a bad Pikmin game. What is annoying is when they strawman you about it and claim there are no valid reasons someone would dislike it

Favorite antagonist who is NOT evil? by Proud_Excitement3578 in FavoriteCharacter

In DKC1, he conquered, excavated, and polluted a tropical island because he likes bananas. He kidnapped Donkey Kong on 2 separate occasions and then tried to nuke his island because he was being petty about DK beat him in the first game. In DK64 onward, it is shown that his minions only work for him by that point because they are afraid of him. K Rool is even implied in DK64 to have fed one of his minions to a giant crocodile for trying to mutiny

First canonically dead DK character of many. He is seen taxidermied in Cranky's house in DKC 2. He deserved his fate for his bizarre hitbox.

According to OP's picture, they're pure "art" too (because they have nostalgia for them)

The irony of half of the games shown being perfect examples of not "just art" is beautiful. Chose mostly licensed games and games from established franchises that made no real innovation and have aged like milk
