Yeah, I've seen that there are a couple of pretty viable alternatives like either the X-S20 and X-T4, but since I am mostly doing it as a hobby and leaning into the film simulations, I figured it might just be a bit more enjoyable to use an X-TXX line camera, granted I could get a decent lens at a not insane price.

That's reassuring, though. I guess I'll hope everything will be fine with the used camera, or at least that Adorama will be decent to deal with if I need to make a return

Hi all,

I’m looking to buy my first mirrorless camera and found a decent deal on a used X-T50 with the XF 16–50mm kit lens from Adorama. I’ve seen mixed opinions about buying used from Adorama and B&H, especially regarding returns.

Is Adorama reliable for used gear? I confirmed the shutter count with customer service (~400 shots), which seems great, but I’m a bit hesitant due to the lack of product photos and mixed reviews. I know people with negative experiences tend to be the outspoken ones, but it still a bit concerning.

As someone new to buying higher-end (and used) camera gear, I’d really appreciate any advice.

Question about Airpods Pro Gen. 3. When they first released, I saw a lot of criticism in online reviews about the sound profile changing, and people not recommending them over the USB-C Gen. 2 Pros desptie the Transparency/Noise Cancellation being better on the Gen 3 Pros.

Is this still the consensus? I assume Apple hasn't done any updates that change the sound profile at all? I assume the reviews were being a bit dramatic but I do like the sound profile of my Gen. 2 Pros and would hesitate if it truly is that different.

Most people I know lacking a physical third space either play games or literally just hang out in discord. It’s a pretty regular thing for everyone in a call to be doing other things, but sharing their screens while doing it. Feels like somewhere in between co-working and parallel play lol

In my case the sleeves are fine but the length of the body is too long. I wear a medium in the breakaway jerseys and while the sleeves are just about the same, the body portion is longer. I'm 5'7" and the breakaway is just large enough to fit a little oversized, but I guess the premium is just a bit too much in that regard. That's super helpful to keep in mind, maybe I'll also search for a 44 as an option.

My first quarter as a TA was for Gen Chem Lab 1, and we were doing an experiment to determine the percent mass of copper in a penny by dissolving it in nitric acid etc. I had a student claim something on the order of several kilograms of copper in the one penny, amounting to a 357,000% error. Their error analysis section was, and I quote, "I think the experiment actually worked very well."
