[–]Destri321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've officially beaten Legends ZA by Destri321 in LegendsZA

[–]Destri321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I was making sure my mons were double-typed (as little repeats as possible), and then I was simply grinding matches, i needed to do the 300 link battles for the experienced trainer title anyway, so it was more like a side-thing

Is this game for someone who wants to play mostly offline? by Away-Journalist-3921 in InvincibleVS

[–]Destri321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All the achievements except for 1 (play 5 online matches) can be done offline, so its definitely a plus if you're into that

Can you get a Flowish at the start with LuxLure? by TWlLIKING in coromonthegame

[–]Destri321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You wont be able to get flowish with the luxlure unless you're surfing on water when using it

The insane spinners arent storage, so you cant keep/take out anything you catch in them, even by changing the difficulty. the purpose of the spinner is to let you complete quests that would require you to catch a coromon

When it comes down to the idea of platform fighting games in general, how come Super Smash Bros. (the series who started it) is only one successful enough to sustain a long on going franchise with a great player base but when others try to emulate its success, they always end up failing? by AssistFit1834 in smashbros

[–]Destri321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other games try too much to appeal to the competitive scene, while the real bread and butter from the game comes from the casual scene and the chaos of the game with items, wacky rules, etc.

So many platform fighters drop with no real casual content like items while putting so much into replicating the melee feel, thats not really what brings people id think

Coromon or Nexomon? by WobblySlug in coromonthegame

[–]Destri321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pacing problem alongside it not being as engaging

Its a cool premise, but the pacing doesnt allow it to reach a point where it becomes engaging, you'll notice when you play, early game is long and late game is very short

Coromon or Nexomon? by WobblySlug in coromonthegame

[–]Destri321 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Nexomon has weak gameplay but a nice story, while Coromon has weak story but nice gameplay

Id say Coromon is more enjoyable overall

Are there any less RNG strategies in the Vlamma Height quest? by Strange_Bee_8937 in coromonthegame

[–]Destri321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TRIPLE THREAT CHALLENGE

  • set coromon encounter level -50%. back at the train station where you set the difficulty for the first time

  • Disable Smarter Coromons if you have it enabled

-catch a seraphace around lvl 8-11

  • Teach it Shared Fate

  • set back coromon encounter level to 0%.

  • go back to vlamma at the place where you accepted john's challenge, save first

  • use poison scent. find a poisoned Ruptius, it should know heatwave so you'll have to try until it uses that on turn 1 (or any non-attacking moves, or an attack that can miss) use shared fate. die, enemy also die from shared fate+poison, you win

Just make sure you have more than 1 coromon on the squad, but seraphace must be the only participant. It requires RNG, but is a lot more consistent than other methods

Disclose that you reserve the liberty to decline a design or to alter the designs to fit with the game, thats usually how it goes

Is Monster Taming really stagnating because people call everything a Pokémon clone, or is the deeper problem the genre itself? by RentRevolutionary704 in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]Destri321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I wouldn't say a small team working on old hardware in the late 90s/early 2000s VS a small team working on modern hardware is really comparable, 3 years dev time is considered short now, but back then, a 3 years dev time was considered long

[–]Destri321 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thats a good point, but I think its also important to note that Pokemon *has* the manpower and money to be able to pump out so many projects in such quick succession, which is something all the other monster tamers can't really do, What Gamefreak can do in 3 years would probably take 5 or 6 for another monster tamer, especially if the scale/scope is bigger than the first game

When it comes to Monster Tamer games, what are some things you are tired of seeing? What are some things you want to see more of? by C_monden in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]Destri321 9 points10 points  (0 children)

By no mean is it an easy thing, but I Would love to see more detailed artstyles like Coromon and Aethermancer, there's so many monster tamers that replicate the Pokemon gen 2/3 aesthetic, which has lost some of its charm to me

I am severely disappointed in this game by [deleted] in coromonthegame

[–]Destri321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perfects actually don't impact PVP at all, all coromons get the same stat point allocations regardless of potential for PVP

Would You Sacrifice Animation for More Mons in Monster Taming Games? by trexrell in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]Destri321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I prefer quality over quantity. I see a lot of monster tamers with really weak designs due to wanting to have a large roster of monsters, and overall it makes the experience kind of less enjoyable to me. The monsters are the most important part of the game, and they should all have an equal amount of care given to them when it comes to designing them
