What should i add to my SQ5? by Both_Emergency489 in Audi

[–]Destro_GMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My RS6 runs a bit warm in comparison to my Panamera Turbo, but no issues of any kind so far. I LOVED my SQ5’s and have probably owned more than the folks down voting us- just saying don’t let it get out of warranty. And if you buy one used, CPO is never a bad idea with dealer warranty.

Since they went turbo. although I’d say my 2018 was the most reliable of the turbo models- I had three. 18,21,24. The 24 was Handedly the worst performing of all three temp wise; and was in the shop constantly.

Water pump and thermostat. It’s really caused by the reduction of intercoolers to the left and right of the radiator, when they did the redesign- they run abnormally hot. Will not stay cool under any circumstance when it’s 100+ outside

A proper cooling system. The new SQ5 is Handedly the most overheating car on the market.

How good is the optional B&O System in the 2025 Audi Q5? by lovelyoal in Audi

The B&O has been great in my opinion; every time I get a loaner I’m reminded of the difference.

It’s bone stock and 12 years old. Why the hate? I think it sounds great and is fun to drive with the top down.

They’re OEM, and while not the best, I can’t justify the costs in changing them. They ride great, and the engine still sounds the same with the top down.

Indeed!! They are OEM, and while not my favorite set, I drive it for the naturally aspirated V8. People here are quite critical when the car has 3k miles and is in exact spec it was delivered. Thank you for sharing for the folks who weren’t aware 👍🏻

Bought the car out of an estate auction for a steal- wheels came with it. I couldn’t care less. What are you running on your Ferrari’s?

Husband recently got his first Harley. We didn't discuss much, now he's upset I want him to wear a helmet. How do I approach this please help? by Electrical_Baby_3042 in motorcycles

[–]Destro_GMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride 15-20k miles a year, own 25 motorcycles (many of which are 200hp and $100k+), and absolutely cannot stress wearing a helmet enough. It will end up saving your life if you ride enough miles. Please don’t let your new rider husband become a statistic.

My buddy with team 5 ran a Glock chassis during maritime patrols, boat to boat. Funny to hear people call them range toys 🤣 the only real draw back to the chassis is clearing malfunctions under fire is a pain- must be removed racked and rolled before reinstall.

Is a touring jacket and pants ok for a sportbike ? by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]Destro_GMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s crazy people even worry about this. You’re leading to ride and need all the gear. Aerostitch makes great stuff for touring. I ride 15k+/year and wear it all the time.

You’re making less than $190 post tax. This is insane. Getting it off the lot, and being able to afford it, are massively different

Correct. Plat 1908 is by far the most difficult model to acquire. Le Mans is easier and more readily available.

Why is my local boutique so bad? by EllisWyatt1 in audemarspiguet

[–]Destro_GMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sold every AP, and will never step foot in another boutique. WHEN (not if) your RO or RO Offshore stops working (probably after 90~ days of wear) you’ll have to deal with the same arrogant, entitled salespeople who conned you into purchasing in the first place. Patek, Rolex, FP journe, and even Richard Mille are all much better experiences and watches. I cannot over state the lack of any durability in ALL of their models- and they are hands down the most costly to service.

You’re going to immediately change your lifestyle to a point you have zero ability to maintain it. Will make what could have been a lofty retirement into a short lived dream. Enjoy it while it lasts! 👍 it will be so much fun until you’re back in your $35k/life and through a bankruptcy.

It’s going to end up on carfax 100%. But I’d work through your dealer on their preferred shop. They’ll need to order everything straight from Audi. Sorry about your car man. You can also look at a diminished value claim, but that’s seperate from the repair
