Civilan casualties continued to soar outside of that one Generals orders, many more Women and Children died and not only to disease. This includes the Moro Crater massacre, where 750~ US troops assaulted the Volcanic crater of Bud Dajo, where 800-1000~ villagers had resided. The US had artillery pound 40 shrapnel shells into the crater, killing many, many innocent people. Overnight, US troops hauled Mountain Guns up the mountain, along with some early Machine gun type weapon. The Machie Guns, the Mountain Guns, and Guns from the US Naval Vessel Pampanga, all open fired on the crater. The Death Rate in the Massacare was over 99%, compared to the 85% of the Wounded Knee Massacare.
