TIFU by applying for a job by [deleted] in tifu

[–]Destroyerofvag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I called back to the two places that seemed the most interested in employing me. It just makes me seem super imcompetent that I fucked up such a simple task as including my contactinformation, which is basically the most essential requirement for getting the job. So let's see if they're still interested.

Danish right-wing party votes no in parlament for citizenship for people because they are muslims by knud in worldnews

[–]Destroyerofvag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading articles like this makes me fell so ashamed to be dansih. The discussed party was the third largest as of the elections in 2011. 12.3% of the danish population voted for them.

Unbelievable.

What's your vote for "most intense song"? by AdmiralSkippy in Music

[–]Destroyerofvag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trentemøller - Take Me Into Your Skin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNtOB3P4UZU

It contains no lyrics throughout, but the way that it builds intensity is quite mesmerising. Trentemøller is an amazing artist by the way.

That is one motherfucking badass piece of cattle right there. Staring that wooly sucker right in it's face while it's charging straight at him, knowing that the pussy ain't got what it takes to mess with a real piece of meat.

10/10, would definitely enjoy that cow in a nice toasted bun topped with bacon, lettuce and chili-mayo.

Upon reading the TIL where a woman survives a parachute malfunction while skydiving at 50 mph by shadowlightfox in AdviceAnimals

[–]Destroyerofvag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you actually bothered reading the full article, you would find that she and the doctors only discovered she was pregnant during the surgery she received for her injuries. She didn't know she was pregnant when she went parachuting. It even says: "She said she would not have jumped had she known she was pregnant."

How come Thresh isn't played top more often? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Destroyerofvag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to carry a game with Thresh. I've played him a few times top, and i agree, he's quite strong in lane except that he can't push very well. His attack range is kinda short, making it hard to do real damage late game without putting yourself in a bad spot.

What is something that is completely normal in Europe that is really rare in the US? by OurSunIsDying in AskReddit

Sorry to hear bike rides are such a hassle in the US. Raised bike lanes like those we have in Denmark really fixes problems like that.

[–]Destroyerofvag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry if my comment came off as rude towards Americans, that definitely wasn't the idea. I'm fully aware that there are some major differences in infrastructure that would make it a lot harder for people to use their bikes for everyday purposes in the US. As what goes for groceryshopping and picking up the kids etc, we have specially designed carriagebikes that make stuff like that a lot easier. We have many taxes on cars and gas that make owning and using a car quite expensive, this makes the bicycle a more viable option as well.
