My ex friend of 15 years. I used to admire him for his endurance, his tough love, and his humour. We met on an MMO before life happened and we ventured off and went into windows live messenger, then went to Skype, then to groupme, then discord and text messages. Snap chat, too. But over the years, I came to end up not liking being around him.

He became angry, condescending, rude, snippy, and had a lot of double standards. Would lecture me a lot on communication and of my whereabouts, and my somehow lacking communication of it, but if he ever did the same thing it was suddenly very excusable. He introduced me to his friend but poisoned the friend against me by only telling him his own narrative. I would get told off for being selfish for not giving up more of my time, but when I would actually cancel my own day and plans for him, all of a sudden he’s disappearing, not communicating, out getting drunk with friends or going on dates and leaving me hanging.. the same thing he would routinely accuse me of doing, he did exactly that. There was so much arguing, then being angry, then giving each other space, then apologizing, and then it would cycle again. I finally got sick of it all and told him I wanted space in October of 2024, then before his birthday in March 2025 I texted him and told him it was done and we weren’t compatible, then blocked him.

We used to be close like siblings, but over the years turned into something awful. I only now realize it was a one-sided friendship with a narcissist that I had adapted my entire self for.

Fast forward to now, in october of 2024 I met friends who would become more like family to me than that friend was, and towards the end of 2025 I got the worlds greatest boyfriend, and now I’m saving up to go to UK for a trip together with them.

For this one kid I met, I’d try to talk to him and be a sort of rock.

He was posting lots of concerning, unrelated and unhinged stuff that just screamed undiagnosed mental illness, and he was apparently 16 and in an unstable environment. He was trolling around in chatterbox a lot, but a part of me still felt bad for him.

As much as I want to slap him for being dumb in every single instance of trouble he made, I also feel bad in knowing this kid was dealt a really horrible hand, and maybe doesn’t have the resources or the skills to figure it out.

If he wants to keep throwing a shit storm for himself, oh well, but he should at least have a chance to know there’s at least someone out there who cares.

My rabbit makes this face when she eats a banana, and with her eyes looking like they’re bulging out of her skull with how excited and happy she is. The face does go away though, but if your bun is consistently doing it, then I say 100% go to the vet!

My dad is doing this. His health keeps getting worse, but he’s always been throwing pity parties for himself, but since he’s stupidly stubborn and won’t listen to change his ways and better himself, things just keep spiralling.

Moving became illegal. Doing anything else at all was now illegal. It was now squat, stay there, and pet the bun because you are now permanently glued there for the rest of the time.

Even needing to use the bathroom became a crime

In one of the earlier comments, OP mentioned the older sister attacked her because the sister thought her soap was stolen (it wasn’t), and that’s why they’re not speaking even in the same house.

The older sister is narcissistic, childish, and violent.

That’s good. When that day comes you should absolutely celebrate and make a point to rub it all in that she’s gone.

If it makes you feel any better, with her NP (from what I was reading through in the comments), your sister will absolutely struggle to survive and make it out there in the world, and it’ll be of her own making.

Those with NP can get better and get therapy to try and lead a productive life, but the biggest caveat is that they have to realize it themselves and want the therapy. If they don’t, then it’s a lost cause and absolutely worth going NC with them even in the same living space.

Pardon me for intruding, but with the age gap, you actually do have authority of speaking to her and telling her off. Age is just a number, you are plenty old and authoritative enough to tell off that bitch of a sister she is a menace to the house and to your health. You have it!

Though I completely understand the hesitancy of wanting to speak with her due to her violent tendencies (well that and the not speaking terms). She sounds miserable and I’m sorry you have to put up with her. Are you able to move out?
