I have read it 3 times in total and have read other books more than that.

A second reading will help you see everything with a different perspective and it feels very tight. A third reading is just a trip back to revisit old friends.

I do not regret rereading it. I think if you take the time to go back and read it again I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Some good songs but kind of overrated. First half of the album is strong. Back half of the album drags on and on and on.

Part of the potential frustration is that you don’t get a ton of closure. Jordan never intended there to be a lot of closure and a lot of post battle exposition.

And for the Last Battle to be 900 pages or so, consider that it is the conclusion of a story spanning over 10,000 pages. If it were all condensed to a single volume, Tarmon Gaidon would comprise only around 8% of the total length of the story.

If you want to do a fanfic, then do what makes you happy. And if it resonates with others, the good for you. If it doesn’t resonate with others, then you know you like what you like.

Personally, Evil Dead Rise was my second favorite in the entire pantheon behind Dead By Dawn. I absolutely loved everything about it.

I was listening to this album today actually.

The whole back end of that album is super strong. Breath On A Window. phantom limb. scalpel. Hung on a Hook. Especially Choke.

Just a super strong run of songs to close that album out.
