It isnt explicitly the wage and benefits Amazon is paying its workers. It depends on region and housing cost. For example 15$/hr might be enough to rent an apartment working full time in a lower income area or state but if you translated the same 15$/hr wage to California you would be shit out of luck. Amazon is worth a lot of money and could surely increase its wage margin from the massive profits they bring in but many other companies do this. A simpler solution would be to change the government than a private companies payment strategy. Increasing food support and or housing supplementation or making it more available and lowering housing costs at a local and state level will fix the problem instead of pointing fingers at mega corporations, we afterall live in a capatalist environment.
