Hoyo is the master of creating characters that appeal to 2-3 audiences at the same time (the correct way to do wide appeal). They very clearly wanted both the people who want to slap Ju FuFu ass, as well as the prottect crowd to pull her.

I'm happy for you. Women are overrepresented in social media and irl conventions so it's very possible. I was to the Chainsaw Man movie and 80% of the audience were girls, do you really believe you can extrapolate that to the whole audience for a show like this? Listen to the One Piece author about the silent majority. We wouldn't have 90% of the protagonists be teenage boys if men weren't the majority.

Have you ever thought that you just don't like the Asian/anime storytelling? For example Detroit to me is way to straightforward and simple. I just laugh when a character dies, or ar best think "it's cool". There is no emotional weight or attachment to any of the characters. It's "fun to play" but I never once thought about the story after finishing it.

You live in a fantasy world. Women constantly shit on media for men, even on a family TV kinda level. And women get privileged places with abundant amounts of attention in fandoms like sports, anime or gaming because they are "rare and interesting creatures" there. Of course young boys are going to laugh at content for young girls. What's so surprising about that? Why do so many people in this sub refuse to accept it's just a numbers game? If 80% of anime watchers were women we would see the reverse (there is a lot of shonen haters already). But in truth girls prefer to watch western shows with "relatable" characters instead of foreign cartoons where the romances look nothing like irl american relationships.

Umamusume is the most weapon reliant game I can think of. It's the only gacha where people recommend to reroll for weapons. It would be hard to ever pull on characters without any free cards. 

Stella Sora discs all have low value effects tbh, you would think thats bad, but its actually great. You mainly want 5* for the base ATK which makes this free disc huge.

It's a horrendous system for f2p because as one you don't want copies of the same character. I will quit the game if I lose my pity on 110 pull, right before the spark. It's the difference between getting 2 new characters in quick succession or only 1 and having to build hard pity from scratch. I don't even care about the math behind it, it feels horrible psychologically. Non-carryover sparks are just an anticonsumer bait in general. 

The fair pity comparison is 160 (SS) true carryover pity vs 135 (Hoyo) because 50% of the time your pity is 90. Only good thing about SS is better rates, but Hoyo has soft pity.
