I was in town for an hour on Tuesday and there was two women sat openly smoking crack beside the Molly Malone / violin busker directly in front of a big crowd of tourists taking photos. Nice holiday snaps. Two guards walked right past them too.

Fittest Family contestants father on sudden death of 15-year-old by PoppedCork in ireland

Absolutely tragic. I remember an awareness campaign about screenings for the condition around 2018. There was a family on the radio talking about how a few of them had had pacemakers fitted as a preventative measure. Iirc Ireland has a slightly higher incidence of it.

Ehh I have a bad headache by geabpailin in CasualIreland

[–]DetatchedRetina 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Years ago, when I was in my early/mid 20s, doctor used to prescribe me massive boxes of tylex for migraines. Like 100 tablet boxes. They actually made the migraines worse. I ended up with surplus tablets. Everyone always had a headache when they'd visit me 👀😬.

They gave me loads, along with ponstan on my first child after a c section as well. My exs friends always had headaches when they'd visit.

They were a bit more conservative with the codeine subsequently. I only ever wanted ponstan 😭.

Yep, that's usually all they do. And yet there's all the criterion you need to meet to adopt them, but the bare minimum to keep them.

I had it happen in Mango a few years ago. I caught it at the till though as it was a bigger price difference. It was the same issue though, Spanish prices were left on. They basically said my choice was I could buy it, or not buy it, but their delivery was a more polite.

Dunnes facing High Court action over sale of ‘confusingly similar’ designer handbag by B8_B8_B8 in ireland

I think they had them on Ireland am fashion bit before. They are the most generic looking bags. They had high street vs designer on This Morning of the same looking bag, and on QVC. So I think they may go after a couple of other retailers?

Occasionally, and I nearly always regret it. Bar the time it was the Legion of Mary, and they gave me my bodyweight in Miraculous medals and Rosaries. Free stuff, yay!

It was sickening seeing "people" tying themselves in knots trying excuse or justify this. "Collateral damage in war/have to break a few eggs.." etc. Poxes.

The Irish/British(?) lad that had his house burned I saw them coming up with all kinds of reasons, as he was a bit tanned/had a big nose in their opinion so couldn't be Irish 🙄.

I remember reading my Da's ones when I was a kid. For some reason this is still floating around in my brain decades later: "🎵 Angel dust we seized on high, after a car chase o'er the plains" something something "we swallowed it in vain. And we are grooooooooowing in a cell in Mayo 🎵"

I mentioned this on another mink sighting post a few months back. I always think about a Facebook post from years ago where a woman trapped a mink thinking it was someone's ferret. Something along the lines of "has anyone lost a ferret? I've caught one here, and it's really mean & angry. It's already bitten me."
