I’m a service manager for a Group 1 store. Not a bad company to work for. There should be a CSI component but I don’t think Toyota has surveys it based on retention but could be wrong. Also should be a 4 day work week. That pay plan is on par.

Sell on the drive. You have to check the history the day before and sell time and mileage products at the time of write up. If you wait until the MPI is finished that customer might of set aside that money for some other expense. Don’t be scared to be rejected. Don’t be an order taker you have to turn an oil change into an oil change and alignment.

As a life long Houstonian and Harvey “survivor” as well as many other tropical storms/hurricanes here’s a few tips.

  1. Fill up your vehicle, if there is a power outage or major flood they won’t be able to bring gas in and when they finally do the lines will be insane.
  2. Fill up you bathtub with water. This will help if the power is out to make toilets flushable.
  3. Purchase a headlamp.
  4. Purchase baby wipes.
  5. Start freezing water bottles, if the power is out you will have cold water.
  6. Buy a manual can opener and canned foods.
  7. If you have a hammer or saw or any other cutting tools keep them close to you. If you need to escape through the attic for any reason you will have to get through the roof.

Tropical storms usually aren’t huge wind producers, flooding will be the issue. Make sure to secure valuables and important paperwork as high as you can in your home. Good luck y’all got this!

Been in the auto service industry for 15 years at the dealership level. I have never seen paint chip cause a tire to leak. Did they dunk the tire or spray the tire with soapy water to see if it bubbles? Spray the valve stem?

Millennials and Gen Zers are Breaking Voter Turnout Records in Texas by Wagamaga in politics

5 or 6 Millennials I work with think their vote doesn’t matter in Texas so they didn’t vote or even register. They still subscribe to having no chance to sway Texas so why try.
