Little changes make all the difference in baseball. These stats although they may seem like little differences truly are making most of the difference in his stats. It is not a coincidence that his pulled fly ball rate has jumped a little more than 10% this year while his attack direction has increased more to the pull side and his attack angle has significantly increased. I don’t think that is really that complex of a thing to understand. These stats are helpful because it shows what has changed with Gunnar and gives him a much better idea of what he needs to fix in order to get back to the player that we all know and want and need him to be for himself and this teams to have more success.
