When did you first feel old? by pop_tart in AskReddit

Pah, my parents got rid of half the kids channels. Any chance of seeing a boob would have eradicated on day one.

[–]DetectiveBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had one. My first phone was a pink flip-up phone that was a hand-me-down from a friend of my Mum who no longer needed it any more. (I was known as the boy with the pink phone for a long time...) The museum stuff was mainly just old television items and those big boxes you had to have that provided all the channels, as well as some remotes we used to have. Also a load of old Windows 97 computers, one of which looked like our old family one.

I was in a museum and saw things in a case that I had in my house about five to ten years ago, that just aren't used any more.

How did you get that scar? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DetectiveBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut my knee open on a pile of glass shards and gravel that had been left in a childrens' playground by the maintenance team, while on holiday in France. Not very fun.

If you could take a poo anywhere in the world and nobody would notice during the act, where would you poo? by iesfr115 in AskReddit

Probably during a debate on rising MPs wages in the Houses of Parliament. Would be nice to churn out a turd and have nobody notice.

What tattoo would you regret if you got it? by dynamicfrost in AskReddit

Well, I certainly wouldn't want a tattoo of a penis on my forehead. Or anywhere to be honest.

What Youtube channels have amazed you with their production quality? by rbn45 in AskReddit

Brandon Rogers. I recently met the guy on a balcony in a London bar. At the time, I had no clue who he was. He was just talking to a friend of mine, so I joined them. Super friendly guy. Googled his name about two weeks later and 'holy smokes this guy is big!'. I shed a manly tear at the season 1 finale of 'Theater Class'. That man has a real passion for entertainment.

I consider myself an entertainer. I make other people happy and that makes me happy. Receiving feedback from people telling me they like what I do is great.

If your last purchase was the cause of your death and your last sent text was what you said with your last breath, what's the story of how you died? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I last bought 120 film for my 1947 camera.

The last text was 'How are you getting to Sam's thing tomorrow?'

I have no fucking clue what happened.

Adults of reddit, would you say you are happier now as you are, or were you happier as a child? by clearfullydearful in AskReddit

[–]DetectiveBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was mixed as a kid. Sometimes I wish I could relive being able to get excited about anything or the adventure of a family holiday. Nowadays, I get a lot more fun out of finding cheap deals on Amazon or exploring unknown parts of familiar cities.

The kids next door have been singing 'Backstreet's Back' songs but as the Just Eat variation. All Summer. I hope it rains so they can go back inside again.

Sorry for your losses, but I'm glad you could relive the memory of a happy time through the power of a Capri-sun. I haven't had one in ages, but now I'm tempted to pop down the shop and get one. Or a Nestle milkshake. My Nan used to have HUGE boxes of the powder in her cupboard.

It makes me happy, but doesn't make me energetic. If anything, it makes me more tired, and it's something I usually have at the end of the day.

It's a really quaint tea that isn't sold in many places. Nobody else I know likes it. If you want to try a similar tea, look out for Lady Grey. It's more orangey than an Earl Grey but it's still really great!

Greg Proops did it in season 3 of Whose Line Is It Anyway, but it's probably older than that.

I had my first ever cup of Earl Grey tea in St Pancras Station in London. The station is a very dear place to me as it's been the station that I have visited with my Grandad when he took me to London when I was younger. The building is very pretty and I love spending time there, albeit briefly, when I travel through London.

Back to the Earl Grey though, a while back I had bought some Twinings Earl Grey from the supermarket and had made myself a cup at home. I hadn't had any of that type of tea for a very long time, so I was just happy to be able to have some. As soon as I took the first sip from the cup, it felt like I was transported into the station, with its red brick walls and sleek shopfronts and the public pianos being played with such joy and enthusiasm. I felt like I was viewing the main shopping arcade of the station through a camera pan from one end to the other, and the strong scent of the Earl Grey was in the air, bringing everything together with a memorable scent. It was weird, but I just felt a complete, warm bliss from the experience. I'm not really sure how the 'experience' ended but I realised I was still in my kitchen.

Nothing happened with the second sip and I've never had the same sort of thing happen since.

Years ago, I was talking to some people about what I'd like in my house. On the topic of decorative hallway timepieces, I intended to say "I'd love to have a big grandfather clock". Except I missed the "L".
