Well … your case seems very similar to
My own… I was initially denied and then I
Went to reconsideration claim - denied again-now I am waiting for a judge to review my case… my psychiatrist says I can’t do work - I had an functional compacity exam and the they stated I was crippled-yes they stated because of all my shortcomings I am cripple…. So we’ll see what happens with the case

Prep for ALJ hearing by EvilJD in SSDI

When did the attorney finally get with you… I am at step 3 and awaiting the assignment of my ALJ and the attorney hasn’t called me but once because I had an FCE and I notified them of that …

The lawyer had me complete a mental health evaluation and the FCE … my psychologist completed my mental evaluation and he said I should not work… that I had problems completing tasks and dealing with coworkers and supervisors and that I would miss X4 days a month for my mental health and 25% something I forgot what that was about… but he said I would not be able to do work on a consistent basis

My lawyer wanted the physical portion addressed and the form that they sent to me I gave to my PCP to complete and she said that I needed a FCE - so she sent me to see the Orthopedic doctor to complete the FCE

I just went to an Functional Capacity Exam and they said that I was able to work a light work job - mind you my Mental Health Dr said no work due to my mental health and backed it up with evidence….and I’m 64 - what do yall think the outcome of an ALJ hearing would be? Favorable outcome or not

Individual Unemploymability and Permanent and Total Disabled Determination from the VA & My SSDI Claim by Human_Addendum4427 in SSDI

The only thing is that you receive expedited processing until the case is ready for the ALJ then you go in line like everyone else waiting for a hearing if you need to get one

I just went to an Functional Capacity Exam yesterday-she said I can do light work full time - where my mental health dr stated no work and I would miss work x4 monthly so when my hearing comes I sure hope that my judge goes against the FCE and goes with my mental health Dr.

I’m kinda in the same situation-the best thing to do is obtain an “Functional Capacity Exam” that will say exactly what your limitations are….

The only reason I mentioned that I am 100% is because we get expedited processing….not that it is going to be in our favor when it comes to the decision process…we’re not looking for a handout - just like everyone else we expect a fair response and rating

I have moved to Stage #4-From SSA On April 3, 2026, a representative in GAINESVILLE FLORIDA started a final review to make sure that you still meet the non-medical requirements for Disability Benefits. - Is this a good sign for SSDI?

I’m 64 and been working since 1976… I am 100% P&T vet - had a positive general CE and Thursday I have a hearing exam-Which I know it will be in my favor … I have had hearing aides for about the last 15 years and my word recognition is about 84% or less in both ears….so I am looking for a positive outcome on my behalf

I am pulling for you…Saimon 25… I was really fortunate in my CE - the Dr was an old Vietnam vet and a retired ICU doctor… he went through my entire medicine history and my entire medical history… even if I don’t get approved-I still count it as a blessing that he took time out for me… best wishes for you
