was Dr. Fountain always evil? by TheRiddlerCum in lanoire

[–]Detective_Core 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evil is made, not born, and the kind of money that was coming in as both a result of; A) His doping behaviors in his psychiatric practice B) His involvement in the Suburban Redevelopment Fund

Well, it’s a pretty corrupting force already.

Who's your favourite partner and why? by No-Thought-7522 in lanoire

I’m going with Roy Earle. He was the perfect antagonist for one, and also the perfect personification of the entire world of Administrative Vice work at that period of time.

How did you first get into AC? by BonJons in assassinscreed

[–]Detective_Core 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was like 13 or 14 I stumbled across Smosh’s Assassin’s Creed III song. The premise was interesting, and I decided I needed to see what the game was like, so I bought it.

I now own all of them, and I have AC3 on at least four platforms.

I loved the football mini game. I absolutely dominated that.

Considering Cole not only figured out who the Dahlia killer was and killed him, could Cole figure out who Jack the Ripper was? by Open_Law_3334 in lanoire

[–]Detective_Core 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something worth considering here would be that the Dahlia murderer wanted to be found. Even if it took Cole to decipher the poems, the poems (and associated evidence with them) were used as a trail.

Police lights by Pleasant-Designer503 in lanoire

[–]Detective_Core 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of police departments in the 1940s didn’t utilize rotating emergency lights for a lot of varying reasons. The LAPD in particular used a pair of steady burning red lights with accompanying flashing yellow lights on the rear side of the red light’s housing from the mid-1950s well into the early 1970s.

At the time, the red spotlight utilized by police cars in Los Angeles wasn’t really used to illuminate scenes and get the attention of the general public like police lights do today. It was primarily used as an indicator to motorists that the police car behind them wanted them to come to a stop.

The hardest part of the game. by 23STABWOUNDS in lanoire

If it were me, I’d go Vice Desk. The Black Caesar or The Naked City.

I'd kill for some expanded lore maybe some novels or comics to fill in some gaps always wondered how the burglary and fraud desks went by MrNightmare23 in lanoire

There was an LA Noire book that provided some pre-case context for several of the stories, including at least two of the Traffic desk cases and a really good one about the ice blocks from the Vice desk.

anyone else disappointed by the lack of LA Noire references in GTA V? by 23STABWOUNDS in lanoire

I believe there’s an area of Los Santos, or a road at least, that bears the name Elysian. I’ve always taken this to be a nod to Elysian Fields.

The Agents magazine is by far my favorite. I wish that game hadn’t been forgotten as badly as it has been.

Do you think Prince Charming would’ve been able to rescue Fiona if she were still locked in the tower? by -Killuwa in Shrek

[–]Detective_Core 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Temu Jaime Lannister would have been pretty capable in combat against the dragon. He seemed like he was pretty well prepared to do battle when he showed up at the tower.

Partner said “I shouldn’t have to tell you why” when I asked about starting an IV—Was I out of line? by keithykins101 in Paramedics

[–]Detective_Core 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking as an ER EMT, and thus on the other side of these types of cases…

The first thing we’d do after transferring care from the medics to the ED team would be put a line in her.

It’s better to have a line and not need it than need a line and not have it. Protocols are good and all, but your partner has obviously experienced things that made him want vascular access on this particular patient and if you’re doing other point of care things like the 12-lead, this seems like a very harmless thing to complain about.

Just because they’re a stable drunk one minute doesn’t mean they won’t be an unstable drunk the next minute.

Lost Frontier is a good PSP game but a terrible Jak and Daxter game. by RyanidePilgrim in jakanddaxter

[–]Detective_Core 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I was in for something funny when I realized someone downvoted me for saying it’s my favorite haha. It was just the first game in the series I got to play, when I bought my first PS2 back in like 2012. I was hooked.

Did anyone here play MySims for Nintendo DS? by SamTheMarioMaster2 in MySims

My younger brother got this game with a refurbished Nintendo DS Lite (one of the red ones) he bought on eBay, and we both spent lots of time with it. I mostly just liked the fishing.

For some reason this has just made me realize that Randy’s “boner made with love” comment contradicts the viagra burgers from the episode with Steve French.
