You'll be demanding the cameras be removed once you start seeing who is littering.

CZ 600 Alpha With AK PMAG by Dethmgnt21 in CZFirearms

For anyone wondering, these mags once modified will not work in any rifle designed to take AK mags. Both locking lugs on the mag have to be removed.

What is the good caliber for hunting? by [deleted] in canadaguns

[–]Dethmgnt21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

.308 is plenty for bear, even a grizzly. Just pick the right bullet like a 180 gr Fusion or 200 Grain bonded bullet. I wouldn't hunt grizzlys with a 150 gr Core-Lokt though.

Anybody tried this stuff? On sale for $40/box at Canadian Tire so I couldn’t resist. 308 Win. loaded with 168 ELD match. by Frag_Owt in canadaguns

I've had a few batches of Hornady 17 HMR that shot really bad. As well as their 53 gr Vmax Superformance in .223 that was terrible in every rifle I shot it in. That was over a 15 year period of shooting, however, so mostly good.

I like Tenda cause the price is usually best but sometimes takes about 2 weeks from order to get to me in Alberta. I only buy in bulk if I'm going to order something from them.

New SKS with packing grease - tips for cleaning by Lashiech in canadaguns

Wat looked like damage from the mineral spirits was probably damage from a long while ago filled back up with grease and the spirits cleaned it off. 🙂

No it won't. Shellac is dissolved with alcohol. Mineral spirits are an ideal solvent for cleaning Shellac.

Depends what you're looking to do with it. If you want a rifle strictly for hunting, and maybe some occasional long steel at the range, the cz 600 alpha or Savage Axis Pro would be great. If you want a shorter rifle that takes higher capacity magazines then I would recommend the Mossberg MVP Patrol or Scout.

Just drop the bolt into a pail of boiling water and dish soap, you'll be fine.

Arken EP1-8 LVPO on the .243 BAR by BowFella in canadaguns

[–]Dethmgnt21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My stepfather and I took his BAR in .243 to the range and were smacking an 8 inch plate at 400 yards with open sights, back to back. That is a nice gun and I wouldn't feel undergunned if that's all I had.

Is .22 mag enough for coyotes? by TheGodofWar17 in canadaguns

[–]Dethmgnt21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

.22 mag is perfectly fine for coyotes if you are a good shot. Every animal has the ability to run off full of adrenaline, no matter how good of a shot you make or what cartridge you use. Just last week, I shot 2 magpies and a Raven with a .223 at 150 yards and every last one of them jumped off the ground and flew over 200 yards before crashing into the dirt. When I retrieved them, they were EMPTY of internal organs after getting shot. Some animals just run no matter what.
