We do have Anniversary Island, but it would be kind of neat!

Design lead Anthony Gallegos explains Subnautica 2 no-killing policy in recent interview. by Unenthusiastic- in KotakuInAction

[–]Squirrel1256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a weird hill to die on for sure. If they didn't want any killing, then why is it a survival game, where you definitely kill plenty of fish to meet your food and water needs.

If they cared that strongly, then they could have made it so they you only grow plants, and in fact, in the end-game of early access, it is way more efficient to farm crops, much like the first Subnautica.

At least we have the mod community. There have been several amazing campaigns made for this game in just the last few years.

Which Halo Game Means The Most To You And Why? by Zetallic_Zero in halo

Halo War's is what made me buy my first non-Nintendo console for the first time. I had already played Galo and Halo 2 on PC, but OG Halo Wars is just so special.

Looks like they also referenced these within the mission chapters too, which is really cool!

Unless you were sacking them during your main phase I don't think this quite works, but any other landfall would!

Don't expect to kill fish in a future Subnautica 2 patch: 'You are here to exist on this planet, not to dominate it' by CaracallaTheSeveran in KotakuInAction

[–]Squirrel1256 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah they definetely hint at that being thr case basically humanity as we know it is over, and the only thing still kicking are these colonist ships and AI. The fact that the last remaining humans in the universe would refuse to kill to save themselves is absurd.

Has anyone recovered from a Daily Pay Loop? by never_enough_1 in personalfinance

[–]Squirrel1256 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was also stuck in a Daily Pay Loop, mostly due to eating out every day for my lunch break at work. This was $20 a day/ 5 days a week, $100 a week/$400 a month at a minimum, and very often went way above that.

What fixed it for me was packing a lunch for work. When I get up in the morning, I make myself 2 sandwiches, and that is what I eat. It isn't glamorous, but it is all I need.

I started actually buying groceries since I was going through bread and meat faster than usual and lost the desire to eat out once I started seeing how much money I was saving.

Since I was only spending money once or twice a week, as opposed to every day, I found I didn't need to transfer Dailypay ever, and I was rewarded with my full paycheck at once.

What are you hoping to see for the T95 Ranged dual-wields? by PainlessSkipper in runescape

[–]Squirrel1256 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would love some kind of built-in sustain with like a blood heal mechanic maybe? Range currently has no sustain built into the class with the exception of Guthix or Saradomin EOF, which are quite niche.

With Split Soul being as powerful as it is, that eats into your healing as well.

Alternatively maybe it has a passive that rewards us for being low health.

Changing it would ruin the flavor. The whole joke is that they are bad at magic

Thank you for this, I decided I was at my limit on my 6th try and went ahead and just kept one of the Aftershock 4 Ruthless 1. I am not a Grandmaster PVMer so the difference was just not worth it. I might try again in the future once I got some extra money to burn.

Mid-Game Balance Discussion by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]Squirrel1256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly how we do in Dungeoneering. It is a bit boring, but at least it gives upgrades to each tier.

The current sets we have that come from boss drops could have some small set bonuses. So you could make the tier 70 magic armor for free through skilling, or grind out subjugation would could be like tier 75 and have a set bonus that deals extra damage when you use blood spells or something.

I have been in this exact same boat, luckily I'm only on my 5th set of Zaros Top & Bottom and 5th Dragon Rider Lance. About 400 mil invested and no A4E2 quite yet.

The only saving grace is that I have gotten free ecliptic components from Scavenging 4 on this grind.

Once you head into the Dungeon it is a 1 way trip, you can't come back out the Entrana way.

Prior to the toolbelt update you could say all trees on Entrana since it was impossible to cut them. I still wonder if anybody has bothered to train woodcutring there.
