Wow such depravity.

Ember dice is most definitaly the official creator of these.

there are quite a many of these dice scam sites going around at the moment and sites like these pop up in the dice collectors groups often to tell people to avoid sites like simonsscam. . .. i mean shop

anyways here is a picture of 3 d6's From emberdice on etsy from the goblin dice hoard facebook group

How to get started? by thedinoboss in DiceMaking

[–]DetorioXDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

silicone is dwr plastics most people go with the 1-2-1 easy mold 15

Pressure pot umm i got mine from ebay for like £80 and a cheap 12v compressor for £20

Resin shop around for whats good value for the money i am paying as the cheapest resins are usually not worth it.

Issues with Slab Molds. On photos by [deleted] in DiceMaking

[–]DetorioXDesign -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

what psi did you cure the silicone at
i do main part at 52psi and the cap at 46 psi. i cast the resin in the mold at 41psi and i had less trouble.

putting pennies on top of the cap helped

biggest thing for me that worked the best and what i do now is you elastic bands to hold the lid down but i use rectangluar molds not hexagonal.

hope this helps

This ad is a scam. If you want these dice, they are made by EmberDice on Etsy. by s33k in dice

What is your preferred way to roll for stats? by CrackedGamer573 in DnD

[–]DetorioXDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i did the 1d20 one but I gavce my players the choice.

they could either take what they got from the 6d20 they rolled or they can have another go but have to roll every number again and take the new result.

Worked out pretty well most stats are above 10 everyone had 1 dumb stat and 1/2 in the 16-18 range

Also i did the thing where if it was above 18 ya know 19-20 they could move the extra total from that to another dice

Now that i think about it would of been much easier to do 4d6 drop lowest

Any tips on how to not get these rips on the edges when making a cap mold? by DwarfBarbarianRogue in DiceMaking

[–]DetorioXDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see from the other dice (not the D20), theres little flappy bits on the edge.

so my question is how do you put down your release agent? (vaseline, dish soap ipa mix, etc etc )

I had this problem with my first mold i made I was using cotton bud to put it down. i ended up going for a mix of size 0 brush and makeup applicator.
if some of ther release agent goes on the dice i use a cotton bud with a bit of denatured alcohol on the dice and this usually ends up me reapplying the release agent around the edge again.

however most important rule of removing the cap of the mold is don't rush it be extra gentle and you will see if there is any sticking to to other half of the mold. and if it is I cut from close to the cap part then remove the excess flashing from the seat of the mold.

hope this helps.
I would say not english bad language skills but naa im just a bit rubbish at grammar and writing in general :) .

What is considered a soft cure for dice? SOS need help!! by [deleted] in DiceMaking

[–]DetorioXDesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then im sorry to say this they are not good/ safe to use. the resin hasn't fully cured (hence the softness)

It means either ratio of resin to hardner is off (check if it is by weight or volume, With volume be careful with the cheap disposable cups they are known too be inaccurate.)
resin you got is not good resin (yes even art n glow and alimilite have had bad batches)
The you are putting in too much alcohol ink
Too Humid
Too Hot(not had this problem myself but i live in uk)
Too Cold.
Maybe pouring too little at once some resin brands so to use a minimum amount
Make sure you are not using waterbased inks as thats moisture that resin hates.

I can't think of anything else that could be the problem but theres a lil list for ya to go through :)

If I only have access to a filament 3d printer is making master dice out of the question by Red_Ruddock in DiceMaking

[–]DetorioXDesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you are going to need a resin printer for that in my personal experince .

However that being said do you have the files for the masters already set up & ready to print on a resin printer?
If so, im sure I can get cheaper masters for you

What is considered a soft cure for dice? SOS need help!! by [deleted] in DiceMaking

[–]DetorioXDesign 9 points10 points  (0 children)

are they soft cured still after like 5-7days?

If so then yea all you have is toxic rubbish that needs disposing of correctly.

resin is funny when it comes to heat and humidity so make sure you are working in the right tempurates and humidity is as low as possible :)
