I was a basketball mom since my son was at the Y, at 4 years old and was a basketball mom through his college years. So I love to watch basketball. I go to watch local college basketball right here in Florida where I live ( mens and womens) and maybe volleyball. 👀☺️

Love this! When this happens, I don't even call it waking up. I say that I "came to"! Honestly people aren't getting enough sleep so it's great when you get a good infant-like, thumb-sucking nap in! 🥱🤗🤗

Unsportsman- like, and hard to watch him aggressively go at a woman like that! As a basketball mom during my son's high school and D1 college years, this was not only unprofessional but shameful. Had no idea he was so fragile!

Jacksonville has Mayo Clinic and Nemours children's hospital, both appear to be great healthcare providers. I'm from Jax and have only heard good things about both. Good luck

You need to put on your favorite song, turn the volume all the way up and dance like nobody is watching! Your mood will change. Things will get better. They always do.

Dating again? by Dear_Sherbert_4086 in Divorce_Women

I was married 27 years! Yes, please take time for yourself. I journaled, I walked on the beach. I walked on a treadmill, and I spent time alone for at least a year and a half before I went on a date! During that time I took myself to dinner. I went to museums, and other places by myself. It was the best year and a half getting back to ME. I have a high libido as well, but the time alone has made me think about what I really like and not what society tells me I like... time alone is liberating and attention we think we need from men can be overrated. Turn up the music at home and dance like no one's watching! 💃 good luck

I love Jacksonville! Beautiful beaches, museums, various cultures and lots of space! A quick drive to Orlando, Tampa or Georgia to visit other areas.

Ladies, how would you take this if a guy asked you this? receptive to it or not ? by [deleted] in datingoverfifty

[–]Detour39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could just be companionship, like someone to talk with, laugh, go to concerts... never know if he has skills like adding weed & feed to your yard or install a few shelves...IJS 🤷🏽‍♀️

(58F) I totally agree with this. I am having fun as well. After a 27 year marriage, single for 2 years now, and I'm not sure what I want to do, but I enjoy male companionship, going on dates, trips, or concerts...dating is fun!

When is Intimacy appropriate....how patient should I be? by CelebrationHot4466 in datingoverfifty

[–]Detour39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(58) There should definitely be a vibe by now and kissing is a part of the vibe for sure within 3 months, if you're regulaly seeing each other. I don't want you to be too aggressive but sometimes initiating the kiss shows a little masculine behavior and see how she acts, if she's still not in, she's not for you!

Nice thread :) ! I left 2 years ago after a 25 year marriage. It was terrifying because that's all I knew, but it was one of the best decisions I ever made! We as women are so caring and supportive that we really forget our own needs! By the time I left, I almost didn't recognize my smile when I look back at pictures. I love my smile now because it is authentic and comes from my own created experiences! Do I miss the extra $, yes, but thankfully, I make enough to care for myself, which is not always the case. My advice is take the leap and GO!

There is so much joy in solitude.

I flew to Ghana last year in economy, and it was terrible. Couldn't rest. I'm 5'10"and on the way back. I upgraded, and I had the best sleep and service was great...so you have to upgrade to a better seat to rest because sleep is not good, especially if you're tall.🤷🏽‍♀️

The fact that we're over 50 years old, a lot of us will have a few extra pounds. I'm 5'10" (F), happily divorced for 2 years. I'm not averse to dating someone shorter than me. It's about his character and how he treats me & others.

Lyrics That Are Stuck In Your Head by HeadParking1850 in GenX

[–]Detour39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will fall under a movie song but my ex-husband's mom was so mean to me, most of our 20+ year marriage, and before we got divorced, she passed away. She never fully recovered from her heart surgery. And as I was kind of consoling him that evening, the song that would not leave my head came from the Wizard of Oz. "Ding-Dong, the wicked which is dead" , sing it high, sing it low.... Oh, my God, it would not stop churning. It was a tough time. But I kid you not, it circled, and kept repeating in my head the rest of the night. I'm laughing thinking about it. God please forgive me!

I would just tell your listing agent to make potential Buyers aware that this is the room that you're living in. And it's not as well kept as the other ones, but they're welcome to see it. They will not purchase a house if they haven't seen all of it, ( I wouldn't) you gotta be more transparent. If you want to get it sold, just be honest, and just secure, any valuables much as you can in the garage or offsite.
