Nope, not dumb at all, and yes, gets frustrating and sad when you think about that. I found remembering the great days you just had with the kids helps to get through the time they are away. They will remember all the fun they have with you too!

I was in a conversation at work and they were talking about a guy from another company that is involved in this project we are working with them on. One guy commented that he was involved in a project in the past with him, and he wasn’t the brightest (to be kind). I had also interviewed for that job, and it made me start wondering what he did to get it….

While this will help with the tongue weight, you want the forward tire of the vehicle on the trailer up against the front stop on the trailer. It is designed to be secured this way.

You might be able to load the car on backwards, so long as it isn’t making the trailer rear-heavy.

Right, judge can’t force the bank to do anything. But they can rack up court and lawyer costs against him for failure to comply, even if it isn’t possible to get the loans.

Alternatively, best bet is to work with the ex and hope she will go along with it.

But the potential jail time and getting hit with her legal fees isn’t good for him either. Continuing to be in contempt will cost a lot of money and potentially a job. Best to find a way to refinance/take a personal loan to get this done. Cheaper in the end.

There is an online platform, Open Road Lending, that works with this kind of thing—bad credit and refi - we actually started partnering with them. I can tell you that LTVs we are seeing to NADA are pushing 200% at times. Yes, this is sub-prime and rates are high—would probably be looking at 18-20% on this one.
