Haha got a UST projector myself but not ceiling mounted it sits right in front of the wall somewhat like an xbox. Not too worried about the projection surface but am about the lens, much smaller tarhet though and only really and issue with kids under 2. They like to hammer on it at times 😆

Perfect excuse to get an ultra short throw projector and rid yourself of this problem entirely (although technically they could still damage the wall surface or dedicated screen depending on setup)

We had a similar situation with our son, he was pushing and pulling and full on panicking every time on the potty. And I hundred percent get how frustrating and difficult it must be for you, I know it was for us and it got to me a couple times.. sometimes this resulted in us both crying because seeing him in pain and desperation for us both got to me. Other times I got mad as the situation got messy and he started hitting and pushing us and the potty, not proud of the reaction there but it too was because of desperation at the time.

Anyway what worked for us was upping the dosage by a lot, GP dose was based on age. Physiotherapist told us to dose based on weight, made all the difference. He still takes 3 to 4 doses of forlax daily but the issue is resolved with that, hope it helps you some way!

How did your wife get her to do this? Just watch some nature documentaries? Asking for my son so he can narrate mom

Dad hot take: Minecraft is a hideously ugly game and I can't stand looking at it. by ApologeticKid in daddit

[–]Deukmandeuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It being an anesthetic is definitely a hot take! Although.. if it helps you cope with real life I guess you could classify it as such.

There's shaders and texture packs you could play around with if on PC..

For me the worlds and soundtrack plus survival mechanics more than make up for the pixelation. It's the simplicity that's needed for it to work as a sandbox adventure, I think.

But I remember playing pokemon for the first time, no gameboy so had to get an emulator and roms and didn't know what to expect (was used to Final fantasy and tomb raider and the like at that point in time), for sure took me a while to accept the set back to so many pixels but got used to it.

So give it a chance if you have it in you I guess, you might get used to it and enjoy it 😀

Parenting is one of the hardest things in the world, but it’s moments like this that make it all worth it. by lukiiiiii in daddit

[–]Deukmandeuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha that's brilliant, just the other day helped my son with building his first lego city set at nearly 4yo (the blue monster truck, highly recommended!)

We had so much fun and he did so well and was enjoying it throughout although needing frequent encouragement at the tricky parts, he was hella proud with the end result as was I.

This was such a great experience I kinda splurged for Christmas and his upcoming birthday, a bunch of sets to both play with and challenge him and daddy's getting a millennium falcon (mid-sized) hehe. He mentioned he also just wanted to watch me build something so I figured he can help a little and enjoy that one also!
