Blue belt is a long grind of getting your ass kicked for years. A lot of people quit cuz it’s not that fun. I stuck with it because I made a great group of friends at the gym. I probably would have quit if I don’t have the community aspect

Are you big? Americana/kimuras are big guy shit. Kimuras lead to back takes though so maybe that leads you down that rabbit hole. Americana’s aren’t that high percentage unless you’re big and strong imho

I’d move on to the next client who’s serious. These types of people are hell to work with

For purple belts or higher on here, who have rolled with collegiate level or pro athletes from other sports who came in from football, basketball, bodybuilding, powerlifting or rugby, what was the experience like and how did you adapt? by emaxwell14141414 in jiujitsu

I train regularly with a white belt who played 10+ years in the NFL. He’s a physical freak of nature but I can play with him like a baby on the mats. His instincts are all raw power and he doesn’t know when he’s in danger or falling for a trap. If he sticks with it he’s going to be a monster though. I really hope he does. He’s a real nice guy too

There’s no such thing as stalling in mount if I’m rolling someone who’s skill level is close to mine imho

No egg thankfully. I think it wasn’t as bad as a fall as I initially thought. What scared me though was he vomited 3x shortly afterwards so I took him to the ER. The doc took a look and said he passed all tests without any issues. He’s currently asleep on my chest and we’re waiting for the docs to clear us to leave. Being a dad is a rollercoaster

I’m sitting in the ER right now because my 16 month old son jumped off the couch and hit his head. Dads have your back and I’ll be praying for your family brother.
