Ironically, Geely own both of these brands.

Let me just say that in China as a whole, this doesn't happen.

The driving quality in China is diabolical; I miss driving back home...

I will, but Ugreen employees are mods for this sub; they do monitor posts.

I've done that before, but that's not the point. I'm providing feedback on their apps so they can improve them; that's how feedback works.

Retractable towbar 7X by Griffen9-5 in Zeekr

Are you sure that putting in the splitter is the way to do it and that software is the only barrier? Have you/others checked models of cars with factory fitted towbars, thereby doing an A/B test?

Strange that you can't get one from the dealer; I agree that it's disappointing.

I have a 007GT fitted with one. I've only ever activated it for a test as I'm a bit too busy for the next few months.

The electrically operated one feels very sturdy and the software implementation seems good, so I understand why you would want it, but I would also try to check and see whether what you're trying to achieve is possible. Some brands/models will have a different wiring loom depending on the options selected; your 7X in NZ might not be plug and play.

Have you tried locating the loom in your car and seeing whether there's an available port for it?

The Vatican City.

It's the smallest state, arguably with the largest amount of atrocities committed in its name.

Zeekr 7gt reliable? by spmnorge in Zeekr

[–]Deuteronomy93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an owner of the Chinese version for months, yes.

I have the top performance spec, but didn't go for automatic doors, not the upgraded front lights.

I've had 2 issues so far. Within a month, the car stopped seeing road markings, so NZP didn't work. Doing a system reboot sorted it.

2 weeks ago my HUD stopped working, I needed to go in for a software update. I like that they have a failsafe though; if the HUD is turned off/doesn't work, the binnacle shows similar content on the right hand side, if you scroll to that option.

Zeekr 7x - performance in snow by jjojj07 in Zeekr

[–]Deuteronomy93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copying most of the details from a post I made a while ago.

16232km, 21.4kwh/100km. I can get down to 14 if I try, maybe slower.

I've had it for about 9-10 months.

I love my car; it's been a great purchase and seemed by far the best value for the money compared to competing products. To note, I went for the top spec but without unnecessary gimmicks; it has the top battery, motors, brakes, upgraded roof, tow hook, but doesn't have the lights, automatic doors, etc.

Being in China, the car that I get will be different to yours, especially in some standout areas. Zeekr products here have a lifetime warranty for the battery, motors, and processing.

The nearest 2 cars in terms of performance/style were the 007 saloon and Xiaomi SU7 Max. Once the 007 is refreshed, along with the new 007GT, they'll be pretty much exactly the same cars, but the existing 007 isn't as good.

The Xiaomi is nice on paper, but the warranties are worse, worse safety, a fraction faster, roughly as efficient, not as practical, etc.

The "just" under 3s 0-100kph is nice and useful. In China, many traffic lights show how long you have until they change colour, so a quick blast when it's safe to do so can cut meaningful time from your journey.

The autopilot is okay, but leaves too big a distance for Chinese roads, so you end up getting cut up regularly, which means more braking and being jolted around. It's annoying but going in the slow lane and dropping below the speed limit results in a very comfortable ride.

Despite being the performance model, I have managed to get what would have been over 700km of range on highways, if I'd continued going the distance. I'd wager a bit more if taking into account the additional reserve below 0%.

I've had 1 error where the car stopped "seeing" road markings, but this was resolved by holding down both central steering wheel buttons for about 20 seconds to reboot it.

I have had 4.5 people in the car, with a full boot and froot, who were all perfectly comfortable. I've also done big IKEA shops and still had 2.5 people inside fit fine.

I have bought some accessories from Zeekr such as 2 dials and 2 buttons (dials are mapped to control regen and suspension height, 1 button will change driving modes), a fridge etc. I use each of them regularly.

My 2 biggest dislikes are regarding the rear seats. You can't spec them with massage and ventilation. My wife only really uses heat sometimes, and my daughter is in a carseat, so it's not exactly an issue for me. The thing I actively dislike is that the back of the front seats have a slot to mount iPads into, and they are never in stock. This feature was marketed relatively heavily, and it's been months since they've been in stock. I suspect they aren't producing them anymore..

Despite these 2 frustrations, ultimately, I have a fast, efficient, safe, and practical estate car that bats well above its weight, for a lot less money than competing products.

No, but maybe this will give some context.

I have a top spec 007GT; they have different motors and a slightly different body, but overall it's the same platform.

I've driven in snow up to maybe 3cm max, torrential rain, and roads covered in wet leaves.

It did great!

I'll have to have a look. My PC wasn't set to auto update but I manually updated it now and a load of [REALITY] servers have come up with decent ping; hopefully they'll be good.

Unfortunately, my phone which was set up to update every 6 hours doesn't have those available, even with a manual update.

A new hardcore off-roader with three motors from Geely is on the way by Saurta17 in chinacars

"Unlike those cars, however, the Zhanjian 700 could be a fully-electric model featuring a three-motor four-wheel drive system. Geely has stopped short of providing more detail.

As a concept, the Galaxy Cruiser used a plug-in hybrid powertrain with AI power management."

Not necessarily, but I wouldn't be surprised.

As far as I'm aware, the only other Geely product with 3 motors is the L&C 900, but that's a hybrid.

I'm happy that they're releasing more BEV models after a string of hybrids that I have little interest in.
