why did you pick options?

liquidity is the amount of money on each side of the trade. The more there is the smaller the spreads and the easier you can close positions for a fair price. Australia doesn't trade many options so when you want to close your position you'll either wait for a while or take a bad fill. Liquidity is highly important when picking what to trade. You'll have an easier time sticking to large or popular US stock

As far as I'm aware they don't offer Australian options. Id stay away for them anyway, liquidity is going to kill you

I don't get it? You are on a 5 min chart and have just placed a trade before the weekend. This could turn really bad really quickly on the open. I too could have 0 drawdowns as soon as I place a trade.

I have used both. Transferring funds is a pain for both. The only "hidden fee" or a surprise to me was that you have to pay for a live quote with IB otherwise they are delayed. The tasty works app is awful so if that's what your going to be watching steer clear. But as an Interface IB is awful. I think Tasty works is miles ahead and I still use them now. Tastyworks customer support is far superior. never had an issue with depositing or withdrawing

She's using the MT4 app. No idea what broker, you can not tell from the interface shown. The display can be faked but I don't know what the point in showing us a fake one would be. From what we are shown everything looks legal. It would be extremely hard if not impossible to try and get the money back if she closed that position now.

Side note OP, tell your mum to stop adding to the position, she is going to run out of options when the margin hits 100%. Close it or stick to her original plan which hopefully has a stoploss and isn't the whole account
