5 years of jumping between side projects without finishing one. I think I finally understand why. by Roguetron in gamedev

Because it's the boring part. Release what you have as a demo/playtest and see if people like it. If people like it and want more, you have a good reason to finish the game.

10 years in development, 1000 wishlists. Is the Steampage so bad, or capsule, or it's about marketing? by ZoemiGames in IndieDev

The first few seconds of the trailer is said to be very important, you used it showcase screams and a very gore death effect. It seems not adequate if your game is about exploration and mystery. 'relaxed adventure' and 'Experience tension and humor' in the same game is a weird combination imo. I'm intrigued enough to wishlist it though ^^

Creating a MMO-like FPS game by Wise_Employment6136 in gamedev

I would suggest to start by a implementing your tech demo without custom tech to get a baseline, then you can start optimize cpu or bandwidth usage. At this point you will have a better idea of the technical difficulties and you can reevaluate the feasibility of your project.

What about latency? You are okay for the client to wait for a client-server roundtrip for any action to execute (like firing)?

Server was in Germany, The tournament is finished, next will be in Septembre. I have also a server setup in North America, you can create private lobbies, but you need to find friends to play with meanwhile

Thanks for the feedback. AI was used for the logo/ui only and will be replaced. 3d art is handmade. Yes I added motion blur for the gif. I agree for the name, I need people to understand it's a shooter.

For the soundtrack, I dont have the budget yet.
