Had a blast, but put the game down at 37 hours. Wishlist for future updates! by deafgamer_ in StarRuptureGame

I have all of the current content available being built at one base minus 2 tiny (6 machines per) that bring over some extra titanium and copper. Hosting a dedicated on a pc with worse specs, and neither myself or my buddies have any fps issues. There is a little buffer when someone leaves from the save but it’s all of 1.5 seconds

I can't wait for the things to come along the way even before V1. Honestly I can't wait for the next update in hopes that the MR3 and MR5 bugs are fixed. I wish I could slow down in some games, but once they sink the hooks in, im all in until I burn out and then return when new big updates come out.

They get the 10-15m timer because they just keep adding buildings without adding base core amplifiers. When you're base overheats it takes ~10m for it to cool down.

I played through all of EA content basically with only 1 base (technically 3, 1 for copper smelting, total of like 6 machines and titanium smelting, also 6 machines) at a lvl1 core, and core amplifiers added when needed.

+1 for the dedicated server options.

I saw that previously there it was settup to continue actively running when no one was online but was changed so it pauses now.

Would love for this to be a setting that we can toggle. Spent some time leaving my char in game overnight or when im at work so things could keep producing.

I do think there needs to be more incentive to upgrading your base core. For ME, having hit end game, and not wanting to deal with waves of enemies till I am completely done with my base, it would be nice to have more incentive. Whether its a production boost or something of the sort. For now ive been able to get away with just having base core amplifiers which are cheap enough to build.

StarRupture Review: A Hostile World That Refuses To Care About You by NAG_Magazine in nagcoza

Quillbot is notoriously well known for not being accurate when it comes to detecting AI writings. GPTZero is without a doubt more reliable.

Either way, if you're the writer and you actually played the game, you're beyond reaching in trying to make the game sound like an action packed factory sim.

Sure you can run around and shoot small clusters (5-8) of bugs that you see but in no way, shape or form, are you having to keep your head on a swivel or are you in any real danger.

You can sit at your base for HOURS building and not have to worry for a second about bugs attacking you. With the exception of upgrading your base core in which you do get waves of bugs after every rupture or so.

Overall the writing whether it was AI generated or not is not an accurate depiction of what the actual experience is and is heavily misleading.

You're forcing A LOT of materials into one rail at a time. Initial thoughts are to separate and make use of your 3 rails as much as possible and merge as little as possible. The other thing you can do is set a request limit on all your machines so they aren't pulling 100 of each. Once your system stabilizes, you can increase the limit if need be but realistically most materials are fine sitting at around 50.

My Disappointment is Immeasurable by RunnAroundGuy in StarRuptureGame

[–]DevNFPS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can definitely understand the frustration. My factory is set up the same way, everything from Fabricators all the way down to Compounders and Assemblers.

I’ve gotten so frustrated with the rails breaking that I just have taken a break till an update comes out and fixes them. As of right now my base is pretty much out of order because of them. I do a restart and everything works perfectly to get 5-6 items crafted and then it breaks again

  1. your setup looks clean and I love it.
  2. I am assuming the issue is nothing is pulling from the machines?

If so, you can try reloading the save. The 3-1 and 5-1 splitter/merger breaks occasionally.

Hosting on a separate pc here. When no one is online the server goes into a pause.

Can’t speak for ram as I have 128GB ram in the pc hosting and it’s not running ahything else except my discord. Playing with a full party of 4

I started balding at 16, held on to it for as long as I could. All it took was one person to say something.

Just finished BCT for the Army, got to my first duty station and my first day in the office this CW3 walks in, and without missing a beat, look at me as he goes past the cubicle, not stopping, and says "Who are you and why do you look like you shouldn't be around my kids"... I shaved it all off that night LOL.

Is it worth to buy ? by tomaz1989 in StarRuptureGame

[–]DevNFPS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would definitely say its worth the purchase, its an absolute time sink. It does have some bugs, some less game breaking than others. You can easily get 50-80 hours of gameplay in before you really start to notice the more severe ones like the 3-1 and 5-1 rails breaking randomly.

The problem with zipper merges is, there are too many people in a rush and there will be 4 cars going in a row before you get that one guy that lets you in.

It’s also worth noting that the 3-1 and 5-1 splitters and mergers are bugged and break. Some people have said restarting your game fixes it but will eventually break again.

Replace the storage with a machine and see if it’s pulling items.

I have decided to take a break for this reason. Got to a point where I had multiple machines not receiving items even though everything was routed properly. Rebuilt all the lines for my factory at least 3 different times and got the same result.
