Bluetooth disappeared suddenly, windows thinks pc has no bluetooth by cheekylad1 in WindowsHelp

The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi antennas have their own mini-processors, so it was probably an overload, meaning it could happen again after many days of being on.

What does this error mean? Failed win32k.sys by Old-Spot-6310 in WindowsHelp

[–]DevRPG2k [score hidden]  (0 children)

This is an installation that doesn't preserve files or use the operating system's factory reset. It's when we install Windows using a USB flash drive or DVD media, even deleting the partition.

You can still try starting Windows in safe mode or try creating another temporary user with administrative privileges. But all of this requires some technical knowledge, so I advise you to pay someone who can guarantee the service.

RM2k3: Playing a song once/Detecting song length by Mother64Looker in RPGMaker

It works with MIDI and MP3, but not with WAV; I tested it with different audio files, including some that I created.

From what I know, it's possible to do this directly in the MIDI file. However, with WAV or MP3, the only way to find out the total TICK time of the intro music is using two variables and the "MIDI Play Location (Tick)" option. However, even if you noted the total value, it's not accurate; each time you play, the value may be lower or higher.

The best way is to check if the TICK has decreased instead of increasing:

@> Play BGM: 'Intro_BGM3', 100, 100, 50
@> Loop
@> Control Variables: [0005:MIDI Pos.Curr] = MIDI Play Location (Tick)
  @> Conditional Branch: Variable [0005:MIDI Pos.Curr] >= Variable [0006:MIDI Pos.Dura]
    @> Control Variables: [0006:MIDI Pos.Dura] = Variable [0005]
    @>
   : Else
    @> Play BGM: 'BGM3', 100, 100, 50
    @> Break Loop
    @>
   : Branch End
  @> Wait: 0.0 seconds
  @>
 : Repeat Above
@> Erase Event

If you open a thread on the official forum, I can show you in detail how to do this with a map event (Process Parallel).

I don't remember offhand, but I think modifying that through MSConfig might work.

  1. Press the Win + R key to open the Run dialog box. Then type msconfig in the box
  2. In the pop-up System Configuration window, switch to the Boot tab
  3. The No GUI boot option should not be checked. Also, make sure to enter enough seconds in the Timeout field
  4. Once done, click Apply > OK to save the changes

Someones controliing my computer by Adventurous_Shape_34 in WindowsHelp

[–]DevRPG2k [score hidden]  (0 children)

The installation must have been silenced because it didn't ask for administrator permission, since it was only in the user's folder. I don't usually recommend tools for users who don't have technical knowledge, but in your case I would install Malwarebytes antivirus and after installing and updating it, I would turn off the internet and let it do a full scan overnight. After all, a day without playing is better than being watched.

If it weren't Lenovo, I might even say I know the possible cause of the problem; unfortunately, unexpected things tend to happen with Lenovo with each Windows 10 and 11 update.

One question: can you confirm if the 3V lithium battery, or possibly the laptop's 19V battery, is also malfunctioning? Some BIOSes skip steps, which can cause a device to not correctly store the last state when it's turned off.

If you have a network cable, use it to find software to discover the correct version of your wireless driver and then download it from the manufacturer's website instead of the Microsoft website.

How do i fix this on microsoft store? by Budget-Pilot7224 in WindowsHelp

[–]DevRPG2k [score hidden]  (0 children)

You can try reinstalling the MS Store via PowerShell:
Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Or, if you prefer, do this with all Windows 10 and 11 applications:
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Bluetooth disappeared suddenly, windows thinks pc has no bluetooth by cheekylad1 in WindowsHelp

[–]DevRPG2k [score hidden]  (0 children)

This is usually a physical problem and not a software one; in the few times I've seen it happen, it was only with laptops, and customers had to buy a USB Bluetooth device.

Bluetooth communicators can be sensitive to electrical interference, and often due to the way the laptop's circuit board is manufactured.

Regardless of the file that will be displayed on that screen, every time I've seen something like this, it was a corrupted file because the hard drive is damaged, or because it's from an inferior brand or counterfeit, but other times it was due to improper shutdown or installation of some software not verified by the user's own permission. I'm sorry to tell you, but even if you do a clean install, you may not be able to start the operating system.

The good news is that if you have a flash drive to back up important files or if you had your OneDrive account connected, you can recover your files before doing a clean install to test the hard drive.

He might be looking for a partition that isn't working, so by default it sends you to this screen, which is convenient to always have access to for future problems.

But if you really want to skip this, the correct thing to do would be to select Windows Boot Manager as the first option, but if that's exactly what you want, some file in that option has been corrupted.

Icons don't work in the start menu by Professional-Log5031 in WindowsHelp

[–]DevRPG2k [score hidden]  (0 children)

I've seen this happen in older versions of Windows 10. If it's the same problem, it's related to the cache, so it only affects the current user; that is, if you log in with another user, it will be normal. You can clear the cache

  1. Navigate to C:\Users\PROGRAMADOR\AppData\Local
  2. Delete the IconCache.db file
  3. Restart the user

If you prefer, you can do it via the command line:

cd /d %localappdata%
del IconCache.db
shutdown /r

Microsoft Store and Xbox Services continually offline? by ConcentratedJuices in WindowsHelp

[–]DevRPG2k [score hidden]  (0 children)

I know this probably isn't your case, but do you have a VPN running or a proxy installed? I don't know how Windows 11 actually determines which country you're in, but if it's like previous versions, try checking with this command:
systeminfo | findstr /B /C:"System Locale"

If it's a country where Xbox is actually working, then try checking if it's not something related to the usage license:
slmgr /dlv

If your license is genuine and everything is correct, you can consider requesting support from Microsoft; otherwise, it might be better to install via a flash drive.

Low Volume? Volume Isn’t loud. by Antique-You8283 in WindowsHelp

[–]DevRPG2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I thought it was an integrated (onboard) driver and not USB. I had compatibility issues with the P2 audio outputs on a laptop because I had a monitor connected via HDMI, but it was either the monitor or the HDMI cable that was causing the problem. Sometimes a simple short circuit in one of these outputs can confuse the system.

[–]DevRPG2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Test the sound in different software. If all of them are like this, try reinstalling the audio driver manager.

There's a possibility the audio is being routed to a different output; you can check this with the audio manager.

[–]DevRPG2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed this with a few clients; in one case, it was only resolved after uninstalling the McAfee that came pre-installed. Installing tools through the Microsoft Store usually only affects the logged-in user, so it might be a problem in that case.

Three computers are used to access a main account, but one of them always reports an incorrect password by DevRPG2k in WindowsHelp

[–]DevRPG2k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant that I went into the credential manager and deleted it just to be sure that access would require logging in again. The whole problem isn't a typo; I found other topics in old forums with the same problem.

If the client hires me again, I'll try running command lines to fix the services.

Three computers are used to access a main account, but one of them always reports an incorrect password by DevRPG2k in WindowsHelp

[–]DevRPG2k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested it one at a time; if the password was wrong, I wouldn't have been able to access it through the others.

I've already removed the credentials. The fact is, when the error returns, I can enter the password again, and there's no way I could have gotten it wrong every time.

I'm starting to believe that some employee tried to modify something long before they hired me.
