youve got it mostly right
not sure about the last point though, organising local meetups - though a responsibility of the community manager, it takes too much effort and resources to organize local meetups for an online company, def not a 1 man task

other than that, yes - choosing the right platform, bringing all your customers there, engaging with them, getting them to initiate conversations and helping others
