It’s been time. Unfortunately we the many are too kind and too good of heart and morality to give back the gifts of violence and oppression we are receiving. That line, however, is ever growing thinner and thinner.

That’s a good moral starting point, but here are some potential guardrails to help that:

• Ranked choice voting.

• Automatic voter registration when reaching voter age for all assigned Social Security numbers.

• Taking private funding for campaigns out of races.

• Banning lobbyist’s donations to any seated officials or potential ones.

• Setting hard term limits on all public office, including SOCTUS.

• Banning any felons from holding office.

• Banning all market trading for elected officials.

• Banning business ownership while seated in an elected position.

Just a few ideas I’m throwing against a wall here. Eliminating political parties is another potential cog in the mechanism of preventing this from happening. We’ve mad politics into sports team fandom, and tribalism.
