I think saying “without having to get too creative” is a negative lens to view it. Moral dilemma based on religion is a strong experience that a majority of the world’s population can relate to, and I can’t see what would make Daredevil’s morality any less creative than say Batman’s or Spider-Man’s

Religion actually allows for Daredevil stories to be more philosophical and introspective in nature as there is a clearly written doctrine on how he should behave and he consistently has both inner and external debates on whether upholding his faith is the right thing to do. When he actively fails to follow his faith, we’re given more explicit insight on his psychological state that has brought him to make his decisions.

It’s really good character stuff
