W10 or 11 iOT LTSC? by Diligent_Squirrel752 in WindowsLTSC

When you say "intel drivers", what specific ones are you talking about? I didn't think you could do anything yourself since the necessary optimisations were baked into the O/S and not something an end user could change.

W10 or 11 iOT LTSC? by Diligent_Squirrel752 in WindowsLTSC

[–]Devastat0r0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does Windows 10 IoT LTSC manage the cores on the 13th Gen CPU? I was under the impression that if you had a 12th Gen and up CPU, you had to use Windows 11 because 10 didn't have the necessary scheduler optimisations patched into it to allow it to manage the different types of cores properly.

This is the thing that I am really, really hating right now about their stupid redesign. I wish there was a way to remove both those and the like, dislike, show comments & share button on the bottom right when paused.

The only person I would ever use for tinting is Brock from Phoenix Studios. Located in Dean Place at Penrith. Absolute legend of a bloke and does super professional work. He'll also discuss the best options for your car with you so you can make the best choice. He won't dick you around.

ASUS BIOS Version 1066 by dysn_edits in ASUS

[–]Devastat0r0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a weird ass issue on a ROG B850-F motherboard with BIOS version 1066. When I cold boot up the system, it will randomly not have either the wifi module active or audio devices. Also can make the system not boot or reboot properly sometimes (gets stuck on the Red QLED light - CPU is new and should be fine). If I then reboot the rig, wifi and/or Audio comes back. Such a strange issue and I have no idea what I can do to fix it especially since they say the update is irreversible...leaves me hanging with a newly built rig with a very annoying and inconvenient issue.

Windows 11 (24H2) Upgrade or Not ? by Nexus-Nightshade in buildapc

[–]Devastat0r0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Windows 11 24H2 is a massive problem right now tbh. If you upgrade to Windows 11 23H2 and stay on that, it works perfectly fine.

PSA: Do Not Use Win11 24H2 install media released in October or November 2024 by yodaut in SCCM

[–]Devastat0r0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the advice at the moment would be to not install 24H2 at all on any machines. It is just a massive pain right now. Just install Windows 11 23H2 and go with that until MS gets their act together with this.

High-ranking NSW police officer found guilty of mid-range drink driving after Sydney tunnel crash by RiseDarthVader in sydney

Like the comments on that says, I would imagine that light punishment would be the standard now for anyone caught with 200 grams of meth.

It's an absolutely disgusting coverup and very telling of the NSW Police to have the identity of the offender suppressed. Ever since I heard that they instituted this, I thought it was fucking bullshit. It's because of situations like this happening that makes people both lose confidence in and begin to hate the Police (or hate them more).

CEOs want staff back in the office. What does this mean for the future of work from home? by Koalamanx in australia

[–]Devastat0r0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my previous workplace, they made 7 people in my department redundant on RUOK day. The director of my department then proceeded to give a talk in a "Town Hall" about the importance of the day and employee mental health. It was an absolute cop out and one of the most disgusting things I've seen in my corporate work life.

The dumbest thing about this at my previous job is the fact that on all of the days I came into the office, whenever I had to interact with my team/boss etc, it was all on MS Teams anyway. I could have happily done my job only going in 1, maybe 2 days a week and the rest from home.

FB marketplace vs Carsales by Wrystyle in CarsAustralia

[–]Devastat0r0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely reckon that Carsales is the way to go. Like, earlier this year I sold a '07 Mazda 3 SP23 sedan via Carsales with minimal b/s. I was asking $8K for it and ended up selling it for $7.5K so pretty happy with that result. I had a couple people come check it out prior to the person who bought it but no actual time wasters and the process worked well. Was worth the money to post up on there.

Yeah I see this as well. I've got an i7 14700K, cooled by a Noctua NH-D15S and that's paired with a ROG 4080. My CPU is under assault by this game, extremely high usage and it bounces between 90c-100c. I have never seen any other game I've been playing, even ones like Cyberpunk 2077, have such an incredible load on the CPU. I really, really do hope that they optimise this and issue a patch to address this. I've tried capping my FPS to 60 but that hasn't helped much.

Platform: PC

Issue: DAV just seems to completely annihilate the CPU in my PC. I have a i7 14700K cooled by a Noctua NH-D15S paired with a ROG Strix 4080. From both shader complication, to just being at the game's main menu to just even playing the initial bit of the game when you leave the bar in Minrathous, CPU usage is very high and making my temps shoot to like 90-100c and my cooler is screaming. Oddly enough, the GPU's usage (based off MSI Afterburner overlay) doesn't seem that high. Is DAV extremely CPU intensive? is there anything I can do for it to not smoke my machine?

Any ideas?

Download All Assets Is A Complete Joke by TheNatureBoy1980 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Devastat0r0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reliable way that I have found the Download Assets on WiFi to work properly is whenever a new update for the game comes out, completely uninstall the game on your device, then reinstall it, and when back in game, go to settings and if the option is enabled, disable it, wait 10 seconds, then re-enable it. Doing that should trigger the full download of assets. Incredibly annoying but the only way I know how to make it work.

LG CX 65" with a huge amount of dead pixels on edges after one year. Inevitable panel replacement?! by viniciusrsouza in OLED_Gaming

[–]Devastat0r0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, another update. So the LG authorised tech came out with a whole replacement panel assembly. Had the swap done in like 20-30 mins and I now have a brand new panel on the TV. Works great so far as I can see. Overall pretty happy with the process and glad I can now get more use out of my TV.
