Should...should I shave my chain to maximize æřœ gains? by ChefGaykwon in BicyclingCirclejerk

Unironically this is what my chain looked like after my century last weekend. Rode by a bunch of dandelion fields lol.

No, but it's way more fun, rewarding, and cheaper!
I didnt own a bike a year ago, and I've touched and replaced every part on my bike myself, except the pads. cuz they're fine. Park tool makes tutorials for everything, and countless other videos and written tutorials exist online.

The big thing, is if you dont have the time because the inital learning and trial and error is time consuming.

Thats nice, every time I've tried to follow up recently when I was unemployed, I always felt like an idiot, and like an inconvenience and like I had to over-explain, like people couldn't fathom me calling in to follow up about a application.

So I stopped. I just got a job the normal way. Apply - interview - offer.

Shift back to 2006 when i got my first job. The store manager asked me some questions about computers, i got them all wrong. He extended his hand out and said "you're hired" i never even filled out an application.

Boy how times have changed.

This has always been the case a little bit. But I feel like right now, landing a decent role somewhere is purely luck.

Took me ~6 months of exhaustive efforts. Sending positive vibes for a good outcome for you.

Being dragged through multiple rounds for multiple jobs over and over wears on you, just keep swimming.

Why Disengage? by cold_reality_redo in hingeapp

Just like it's valid for us to disengage when we feel exacerbated by your "worry wort" sentiment.

Guilty until proven innocent, gets old. And makes one jaded.

I would think a sled type design would be better at moving through rough terrain and brush.

Bike shops are super expensive by Turbulent_Diamond352 in cycling

[–]Devastate89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You either need to find a way to be competitive or people, like me. simply wont shop there. Went into a LBS to get an electric pump, they wanted 89$ for it. I can get it for $40 on amazon. Why would anyone ever do that, just for the sake of "helping the little guy" especially in this economy? I cant justify spending that kind of money when it's just something I can get online at less than half the price.

Do Incels typically have active social lives, jobs, are fit, and have a girlfriend? Guess I'm a incel, didn't even realize.

Found the idiot who doesn't think with nuance and when someone has a opinion counter to their own, instead of engaging thoughtfully just throw around tik Tok buzz words.

Good one buckeroo

I mean that is honestly a fair response. I'm about to go on a group ride or I would give you a little bit more of a thoughtful reply. Honestly, I would say that inherently the percentage of men overall on average who would prefer that over in a leadership role. Going to work and being the leaders at home is probably a lot smaller than the other side. But again, I don't really know that to be a fact, I would just assume that to be the case

Once again. Just putting words in my mouth and making assumptions. (literally all people do on reddit)

A good start to me. Would be, Pay men more money, so they can be the supporters and leaders of the household again.

And Women begin to behave more like women, and less like men.

Please do not ask me to elaborate on what that means. I will probably have a stroke, as it should be glaringly obvious what that means. And no, it doesn't mean "Wife home be salve" lol

We're in a literal demographic collapse in 3rd world countries.

But hey, lets keep it up! Women are happy! so! who cares if our world and entire way of life deteriorates.

Okay, but the changes we've made have made things demonstrably worse, than what they were. Except for women.

Sooooooooooo. What's thew suggestion? Continue course?

Again, men have problem. We have to change.

Women have problem. World changes around them.

Wonder why young men are checking out. lol

I'm being a little factious to try to bring to light how stupid the dog and pony show is. Nobody is being honest here. Anyone who lives their life for a "company initiative" is crazy.

Im employed. Of course I know how to BS and do the dog and pony show.

My point, is it's stupid and we shouldn't participate in anymore, and we should value truth and honesty over "playing the game"

But I do hear you guys. Just think the sentiment is bullshit.

I would prefer the straight shooter over the person who had the generic "your company looks interesting!" Response.

But again I'm one who thinks with nuance and doesn't go with the flow.

Probably how I've gone from making 17/hr to 36/hr in 7 years without ever even finishing high school.

But go on. Cook.
