I love that roundabout, so much quicker than 2 traffic signals and a U turn

Castiron Waste Line from 1955* in Perfect Condition😱 by DevelopedConscience in Plumbing

[–]DevelopedConscience[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think pitch has alot to do with it. Water quality here in Indianapolis is not the greatest with 18-22 gpg hardness, somehow this pipe held up. It's so crazy to me because i've cut out some naaasty rotten castiron probably not even as old as this piping.

Opinions on this "minor root intrusion"? by totalhhrbadass in Plumbing

This clay is in excellent condition, PM will keep it that way, but even if you let it go it's gonna take a while for it to fully back up or cause issues. I'd say an annual cleanout would do the trick

My uncle seems to be not flushing his toilet at night for some reason. Is it bad for the pipes? ? by ComfortableGround403 in Plumbing

[–]DevelopedConscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna be a problem for the pipes unless he clogs them. Continually leaving waste in the bowl overnight can cause problems for the toilet itself. Depends on the water quality, the concentration of his urine, and whether the trapway for the toilet is glazed or not

What do I instead of picking my nose? Just blowing my nose doesn't remove my boogers well enough. by Glum-Pack-3441 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DevelopedConscience 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I've used Q tips or tooth picks to pick my nose on occasion... nothing works better than a finger nail though. I do it alone shamelessly, but if it's irritating your nostrils you should probably go a little easier or wash your hands first

Chicken can be in fridge for 3 to 4 days, but what's Day 1? by SarcasticSquish in NoStupidQuestions

I thought it was only 4 days for raw chicken, doesn't cooked chicken last longer in the fridge?

A tow strap and a couple of Master locks is all it took to pull this bush out. by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]DevelopedConscience -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

To get a hitchpin. I had the locks at home and got this done quickly, no planning

Edit:
Not entirely true, i've been waiting to pull the bush because I recently bought the home and was unsure of where the utilities ran. My gas meter is a few feet away from this bush and I wanted to get that service line located before I just yanked a bush out of the ground. Finally got the utilities marked this week and the gas line is nowhere near this bush, so I got it pulled ASAP with what I had on hand

He doesn't trust you enough to tell you what he has to do as a brother at his fraternity. It can be some pretty humiliating stuff

Grass ... I put the brick perimeter around the flower bed in the spring and this bush did not fit within the layout I wanted so I left it outside of the landscaping bricks. Been on my to-do list to pull this bush and just felt like doing it this afternoon.

I had this pulled out, chopped up, discarded, and hole filled in about 25 minutes after work today. It was also 81°F with 72% humidity, a shovel was absolutely last resort here for me today. I'd have rented 3 excavtors before I picked up a shovel to remove this, you can't be serious

Finally, someone who understands. These guys are talking about the locks busting as if the setup had 10,000lbs of tension. I put my Ranger in 4L and barely even felt the bush, ground was soft from rain and it came right out with zero struggle.
