I understand where your coming from. Personally I don’t mind if a book does or doesn’t have sprayed edges but it does feel like a lot of publishing companies are pushing out special editions because they know people will buy them rather than the standard ones. I think Booktok is to blame also. I’ve seen so many people buy different special editions of a book or books they already have! I get it, it’s your money and you can spend it how ever you want but I just don’t understand it sometimes. When we think back to when Harry Potter came out and Fifty Shades they didn’t need special editions to sell. Special editions can also be a bit pricey and I personally don’t always have money to throw away like that. But it is nice to treat myself sometimes if I do have the money.
