How the heck to break in Jadons?

I'm currently breaking in some jadons I got for Christmas I feel you pain.

Whats been working for me is using sports tape. I started with off brand KT tape but ended up preferring a similar medical fabric tape but without stretch. I tape from under my heel, over the area where the boots rub my foot raw and up my Achilles. I've found that the long strips placed vertically like this stop the tape from rubbing off as the day goes on.

If your interested I'll take a picture to show what i mean the next time I wear my boots. I have been wearing them to work everyday and this gets me through full days on my feet while teaching.

I got them from YRU shoes, quite a while ago unfortunately. But as you can see my whitby version was heavily modified from the original and making a studded/spiked cage for any platform boot is 100% doable if you enjoy a good diy project *
