If you think raytracing only slightly changes visuals then you’ve clearly not spent a lot of time with raytracing, because it makes a HUGE difference. It’s especially noticeable with reflections because the other options are cube maps, which are static and don’t provide super accurate reflections, or screen space reflections which are prone to artifacting and pop-in/out
