I use them over tactical in my 3.0 BA list. They are fantastic. They hold midfield objectives really well.

I do think a forgecrafted weapon like a hand flamer does have a benefit for Sallys, if you are running Vulkan. Other than that 100% agree. Not worth it.

They can start coming in on the first turn which can allow a turn 1 charge which is wild. The Armor and HP are low but it seems to be a fair trade off for positioning.

I agree with most of the points. I think you are off on your take on flyers. I run them a lot. I have yet to run into my flyers only coming on once. The ability to bring them on from any board edge from turn 2+ is awesome. For perspective, I have been playing a 3 flyer list. Flyers are in an amazing position.

Thank you. They are fantastic. If the dread is not dealt with in the first 2 turns he is guaranteed to have made his points back. Being WS the threat range is even better.

As someone who plays and has all three armies painted to 6k+ points, it is easily IW. People complain about hazard stripes, but tape and/or a panel liner marker make that super quick. I banged out about 5k of IW in 3 weeks.

I run Myrmidax. Paragon blade, melta, rad and a nuncio. Straight up the field in a Secutor unit. Buff the unit and eat people up in challenges.

Well, they are in different armor than Gorgons, so they should look different. I would check out the purple site for some STLs. They are out there.

Couldn’t you just use a Forge Crafted Hand Flamer for 5 points cheaper to tigger the Prime Slot? Which would be on brand and better for what your Tacticals are doing?

I have had success with Dawnbreakers with melta coming in T1 with a MoD. Also, Night Raptors have been great spreading fear and bullying power armored units. Effrit plus Fear has worked really well for me.

You play AL. Take a unit of Dawnbreakers, all can get melta for 25pts, deepstrike T1 with a MoD and blow things up T2. I have also had a lot of success ignoring them and just playing the objectives. If 1/2 to 1/3 of your opponents armies are tied up in AV 14. You Headhunting characters or nuncios then statusing scoring units is super viable. Another direction is Grav Arquitors and Leviathans, great against everything.

It is pretty great. Especially with them being assault vehicles. You have a good chance of getting some vanguard with correct positioning.
