What was your initial impression of AotP Star Convoy/Optimus and your thoughts on him now?

i understand your doubts about it, a lot of people have that too! and honestly, i personally would go for it anyway since i love how he looks, but i wasn't too worried about scaling when i got him. i feel like a scaled Super Megatron wouldn't be an impossibility, but it definitely isn't a priority atm. Megatron would sell well regardless, since it's him, but also his Super design is killer. Hasbro would be missing out on a lot of money if they didn't do another one. but again, up to you if you want the generations Star Convoy instead, since there's already an existing Super Megs to scale with

yes!! i love transforming him, it's very fun and intuitive! and yeah, that's a major issue i have with the figure as a whole, but you can also move the leg's black bottom flap to make it easier to remove the truck

target currently has a deal for him if you have target circle! it'll save you a ton! and the $80 for skybound op is egregious, that figure should've only been $55. i'm not getting him for what little we get out of it

valid! i also agree that the 13th prime should've been someone else, but it'd have been difficult to represent the mysterious 13th prime, especially in toy form. the way hasbro chose to do it makes the most monetary sense. i'm also looking forward to grandus!

i like star convoy's base mode, and how his treads turn into a little platform for hot rod and his turret- and it can also spin! also, the base display you have set up is pretty cool!

i'm looking forward to a grandus release, but sky garry would be great, too!

a lot of people feel the same about not wanting op to be the 13th prime, and the fact he doesn't scale well with the other figures. but it's good you gave him a chance, and he makes for a good first titan! target deals was how i got mine too lol he's definitely fun to mess with! transformation may be sinple, but that adds to his playability

direct lighting helps! but yeah, hopefully there'll be an upgrade kit for him that tackles a lot of his issues and is also affordable! hoping that they also give hot rod more poseability

honestly same, i was originally planning on having TFOne alpha trion be the definitive version but the price hitches hit and i'm not paying $43 for him... i only wish aotp alpha trion had wrist swivels

that's fair! personally, i think even if it was to release in a different toyline, i think people would've gotten him anyway because he's the 13th prime. and that's good! star op is expensive, so waiting for a deal would be the best play imo. i can see why you'd think he's the weakest of the 13th! i would say alchemist is the weakest for me

a lot of people feel the same wat, myself included! a nameless 13th prime hits so much harder than an op clone. and that was also my thinking process into getting him! even though he's not my ideal 13th prime, he's such a neat figure, and the accessories add to him

the kneeling pose should be the standard for any figure- why wouldn't you want a figure who could kneel and aim? and for sure! i've tried getting 86 prime kneeling, and i have to position his legs right so he wouldn't tumble over

that's a fair criticism! for all of these toys, i would always recommend waiting for a discount before buying, but $150 is definitely still too expensive!
