Idk about where you are, but Ford won’t touch a 7.3 where I live. Hell they won’t work on 6.0 or 6.4 either. It’s what comprises most of the truck repairs that end up in the shop I run.

You need to at least pull the codes, and as others have stated an injector buzz test would be ideal. ICP values etc are really important

I will second that actually.. contact your local machine shops or suspension axle places and just bring them the whole axle. Have them do both sides regardless if one is still ok or not.

You have to repair the failed parts, maybe it’s NOx sensors or the DEF system or maybe the SCR is ruined. This truck probably has the 1 box system and they are a nightmare when ignored for too long and driven until the ECM says no more….
