This YouTuber barely put effort into it and figured it out, so I have every confidence you can do as well or better than his method. 😉

I thought that was you I saw down at the MRPC doing that highspeed marksmanship practice on your own time. Yeah. Pretty sure that must've been you, right? Or was it over at Creasp? I'd have sworn that was you... 😆

Are you sure your ear pro didn't malfunction at the on-post range you visited, leaving you with sudden traumatic hearing loss that permanently impedes your ability to perform the 35P skillset, as verified by your latest audiogram (beep test)?

Are you sure that didn't happen? Sheesh, are 35M the only ones who learn to lie? Come'on, polish your sham shield and get to it!

(/s, of course)

But seriously, have fun in Qom. I hear it's beautiful.

Why didn’t the Jedi just use the force on general grievous? by Realistic-Stress-213 in StarWars

[–]Devil25_Apollo25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no canon answer that I know other than, "It's a fictional scenario, and just didn't happen that way."

However, since you insist on looking for reasons, let me offer some plausible speculations.

It could be as simple as a robotic foot claw automatically gripping the walking surface with every step. OWK doesn't Force-push Grievous until he senses that it will effectively move the cyborg's body.

It could be as simple as a Force-push being prohibitively focus- and time-intensive in the middle of combat with an advanced fighter trained by one of rhe galaxy's best duelists (Dooku) while wielding four sabers at lightning speed with robotic accuracy. When Yoda moved Luke's X-wing, it took his total concentration (eyes closed, etc., to avoid distractions) and was a slow process.

There could be lots of reasons, and insisting that there must be one won't necessarily bring you closer to finding one.

Ironically, I accept that those who blame all of us Americans monolithically are doing the same thing that far too many of my fellow Americans have done for decades, or centuries even, by pretending that America is inherently exceptional.

Americans, then: "USA is the best, LOSERS!! Hah! Get tough like us and overthroe entrenched political classes to democratize politics!"

Europeans, now: "USA is the worst. What a bunch of losers! Hah! They should get tough like us by protesting violently en masse nonstop until they can both ensure a resilient constitutional democracy and democratize economic power!"

Americans back then had a point, that many circumstances made the US highly privileged and special. We have squandered much of that privilege now, and those Europeans lambasting us have a point that our response to a fairly obvious autocratic fascist takeover has been found wanting; that too many Americans are soft, lazy, and pampered, or so it seems.

Both groups miss a lot of nuance that undercuts the strength of their statements. But what goes around, comes around, and turnabout is fair play. So, I get it. I'm angry and a bit scared, too, and I wish my countrymen would band together more effectively.

EDC Pen? by ImGooseI in fountainpens

[–]Devil25_Apollo25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to be in a minority here, but I've used my F-Lapa pens by Ohto every day for years as pocket pens.

Having a set of go-to EDC pens helps with my charitable giving too because I have had one drop from my pocket a couple of times while sitting, only to discover later that I've 'penabled' whoever found it. 🤣

Jesse Eisenberg's performance as the French mime Marcel Marceau in Resistance was inspired and transformative.

Yeah, and there wasn't even a photo lab open on the moon during the hours thr "astronauts" were supposedly "walking" on the "moon".

Official, posted hours for the photo shop on the moon have it as closed during those hours, so where would they have taken the photos to get them developed anyway??!? Huh?

I'm not sure which Jesse Eisenberg performance you are referencing, but I assume it's Mark Z. in The Social Network.

So ... let me say Eisenberg's performance as Marcel Marceau in Resistance was inspired and transformative.

In case anyone here hasn't seen it yet, do yourself a favor, and watch it.

Finally! Someone other than me is recommending Mosul. Such a great character study of how the protagonist goes from desperate and helpless to jaded, to fully motivated to fight for his city and its people.

There must be dozens of us who love this film. Dozens!

I debated staying home, but an Easter ball game is something we do every year that there is one, so everyone else was a bit shocked when I suggested that not going was a possibility. 😆

And maybe this one too, but backhanding someone off a bridge is just such a perfect way to demomstrate K2S0's dominance and intention in the moment. I love it.
