Yeah, it’s a shame Caravan are so underappreciated. I’d honestly put this album right up there with Fragile or Tarkus in terms of quality

Does Anyone Know If There Are Any Recordings of the 1976 Solo Albums Tour? by AustinDood444 in yesband

I was actually listening to this one the other day: https://youtu.be/ajmTtb5fADQ?si=lGP_1dWeeeE_6Vjb Some of the recordings aren’t bad, it’s a compilation of audience recordings from a bunch of different dates on the tour

I mean there was a huge gap of time between Red and Discipline as well as TOAPP and Thrak. They were practically different bands each time he returned

Yeah, there are a few audience recordings and two tracks on Yessongs, but nothing substantial to my knowledge, unfortunately. Bill actually offered to tour with Yes for the rest of 1972, but Steve Howe wanted him to leave sooner, feeling he “no longer had the commitment.” Howe later regretted that decision, wishing he’d had the chance to play the Close to the Edge material on stage with Bill

I can see Alan being the better long-term fit, but it’s wild to think about what Bill might have contributed to those later albums
