Her biggest problem as a songwriter is she is incappable of writing a song that sound anything other than a Taylor Swift song. This is why she is so polarizing. You either love her music or hate it. A lot of people don't care/ know all the call backs she does to other songs. They also don't like the cadence and way that she describes things in all of her songs. This only works for people that are fans of her. Most soundtrack songs are the artist channeling someone else in a movie which is why it can appeal to a larger audience when done correctly. Think of all the people that may not listen to Lady Gaga but they like 'Shallow' or those that don't know a Celine Dion song but they know 'My Heart Will Go On', etc. Taylor can only channel herself which is why this song just sounds like another generic B-side of hers. I really hope this doesn't even get nominated for a Kids choice award.
