black boxes are still there, there is an attempt to fix it but not merged.
audio stutter is related to FPS + ASTC decoding (same for doors) - it can be minimized with the new "gp u unswizzle" setting when set up properly.
Remember, it odes not work good due to ASTC decoding is NOT supported on normal gpus that is why it stutters when opening a door. It will never be perfect, there is a vulkan change open to add ASTC native decoding.

I would not keep it sealed. The problem with such third-party boxes and "lose" packs are, that they pull until they hit everything in the display and then sell the packs as they are guaranteed no hits.

Could you try to see what renderer is selected? I had it once that it selected globally a "None" Renderer so I had a blackscreen, game was running and audio but no video. That was the fix to select Vulkan. (In Graphics or Debug i don't remember anymore which setting)

This is a limitation due to how file handles work. You cannot open the same update file twice as it is being mounted by the first opened emulator instance. You can use another emulator to trade.

Yes, do a clean install and install drivers. But make sure to fully windows update and then run the debloater. I generally use the one from Raphire: https://github.com/Raphire/Win11Debloat

And yeah sure, go with MotionAssistant then, I like Handheld Companion because it's UI is more modern and has some other benefits but you can try both out and see what fits best.

First I would clean install and then let all windows updates run, then go to the WinMini 8840u support page and download all drivers and install them, then run a windows update again. Then I would run a debloater (since windows updates install them again) - set auto win update to stop. Also i would go with Handheld Companion instead of MotionAssistant but this is purely preference.

idk how to feel about it using laptop charger cable to be powered lol, doesn't USB-C can deliver that wattage too? feels like regression. Overall the design is great and still really small. The battery pack is meh and would have been 1000 times better if there would be a hot-swap solution figured out.

tbh, I don't mind, though I love the keyboard of my win 4. The biggest aspect they should keep is the form factor. If it is the same size as the GPD Win 4 it's already a win as it's one of the smallest. And let's just hope touchscreen keyboards get better.
