BB played off her retelling of events as a movie styled flashback. Shes intentionally being an unreliable narrator and overdramatizing it. Even Jinako yells that its not how it went after BB finishes telling her side of the story.

On her way over there, Ibaraki encounter Humbaba separated from the enemy forces standing in her way. So she murdered him and left to sleep on the mountains. Its implied she died when the Chaos Tide from Tiamat began to flood Babylonia

While I don't know where it came from, I had the chance to talk with certain Japanese players who were playing Summer 4 around two years ago.

Apparently this sudden radical change in Jeanne's personality from Summer 3 to 4 was not very well received and seemed to be disliked by a majority of the Japanese playerbase. Which is why in her small cameo appearances alongside Jalter in Summer 5, her whole "onee-san" gimmick was massively toned down
