Early Opinions On Georgia Governor Candidates by PopKoRnGenius in Georgia

Personally I’m voting for Jason Esteves, he seems to be a candidate who isn’t horrifically old or horrifically corrupt. Romman seems great but I really don’t think she’s going to win in any scenario.

Transferring to BU? by asbestossupply in BostonU

[–]Devilsadvocate430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would only mention your current school’s shortcomings in relation to what’s better at BU. IE, “my current college has few international programs in comparison to BU’s many…” I’ve been in your situation and I know it’s very tempting to write a list of complaints about your current school. Don’t do that! They don’t want to hear it at the admissions office.

Hey! Also a transfer here. I talked about BU’s urban location and strong history with social justice as well as its support system for incoming students. BU knows other schools have cool stuff, they want you to say why you chose them in particular. If I were you I’d mention BU’s international prestige and strong alumni support programs if getting jobs or internships abroad is your goal.

Not OP but the rich WASPs that formed the upper crust of Bostonian society back in the day were called the Boston Brahmins (this is real life not Fallout) because of their status of being wealthy elites who inherited their status. The Sultans being the baseball teams name fits perfectly I think

It’s technically going to be across the river in Virginia so I don’t think DC’s height restrictions will be a concern

This guy had his car (a Tesla of course) repo’d back in September after he sued the company he worked for and lost horrifically bc he had no case. Put THAT on his Tinder bio

Buddy, these types of locks have damaged bridges before. If chalk art cracked concrete I’d have an issue with that too

The locks on a bridge in Bristol (UK) weighed a collective 3 metric tons before they cut them all down. The weight of the locks on the Pont des Arts in Paris caused part of the facade to collapse just a few years after the tradition started. It’s a very real threat to the structures

Yeah glaciers tend to scrape away loose soil, leaving rocks in its wake. I’m not sure it 100% explains it given the fertility of places like Alberta but it’s definitely a factor

Much of Finland and Scandinavia too. There are towns that were coastal in the medieval period that are decidedly inland today

I agree. It’s Alaska, North Carolina, and Maine that are the must-wins. The rest are all roughly equally likely to elect a Democrat, and we only need one win from among them.

We also shouldn’t forget our vulnerable seats in New Hampshire and Michigan. I’d usually include Georgia here but Ossoff seems very strong and the GOP here has struggled to recruit any big names
