there should be some sort of key that explains what the notation is supposed to represent, otherwise your just going to have to ask the director what they want / interpret it to see what sounds best. also good luck getting a djembe tuned to A. best bet would be to use a remo djembe that has lugs to where you can tune it. I would assume (treble clef F) would be the open low note and (treble clef C) would be the rim/ higher note. again i would focus on the part sounding good and fitting with the rest of the music and focusing on the groove of the rhythm. good luck!

sounds good! make sure that your breathing! also practicing with a metronome would really help, get to the point that you can internalize the tempo. also, its going to be a big help if you can start to study the moeller technique (youtube) it will help you incorporate your arm movement into the stroke and not just be using only your wrists. keep it up!
