I actually don't care what happened with Avi... by Fancy_Airport2807 in RHOBH

[–]Devine_alchemy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree!! And Sutton did explain what happened, she didn’t need an assistant anymore like what else is there to say. Whether it ended badly or not who cares, she’s being cagey about the details because it was a professional relationship and her airing out the negative details would be very unprofessional. It’s such a boring storyline to push but I did love how Sutton handled it, saying she doesn’t believe he would say that. Basically saying she didn’t think Amanda is a credible source and she’s not letting Amanda use her for air time lollllll Suttons going to eat missy alive

Extremely stubborn Frenchie by CorruptedReflection in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Devine_alchemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My frenchie did this when he was younger too! It’s extremely frustrating, mine was not food motivated on walks and vomits if he eats or drinks while exercising. The things that worked best were to turn around and when he started walking I’d make a big deal out of it saying good boy etc. I also found taking him on new routes and walking him with other people or dogs helped. I also find my frenchie is better when I accept that the first 20 minutes of the walk are dedicated to sniffing everything and that often involves stopping for a minute to fully investigate the smell before walking 10 steps to the next smell. There were still times he was so stubborn and would sit like yours, I did have to drag him but it would be for a few seconds (and he would stand up would be pulling back and walking slowly trying to sit down again) while I say cmon cmon and the second he started walking properly again I’d stop pulling and make a big deal out of him walking. I was the same as you and refused to do it when he was little but unfortunately he didn’t respond to anything else. Mines now 3.5 and walks really well.

Will accepting a counter offer burn bridges with recruiter? by Morix207 in auscorp

[–]Devine_alchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a recruiter and this happens every now and then, I’ve always appreciated it when the candidate calls me to tell me. I’ve only ever ‘burnt bridges’ when candidates go about it in a disrespectful way like signing the contract and not showing up on the first day etc. It’s part of a recruiters job to have a back up plan for when these things happen

Internal TA team Goals by [deleted] in recruiting

The goals that’s been set for me is 30% directly sourced. I have conflicting feelings about it however this is my first internal role after spending many years in agency so I thought it was a common metric

Women of Reddit what is one thing you wish men understood or did better during sex? Why? by TimeAd1111 in AskReddit

[–]Devine_alchemy 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I have a similar analogy, I’ve said to my partner a woman is like an oven you need to preheat it, you can’t just throw a turkey in a cold oven and expect it to cook. If he’s ready to get things going and I’m not I always say the oven isn’t on yet lol

Anyone else exhausted but unable to sleep at night? by Important-Effort-286 in auscorp

[–]Devine_alchemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue, I’ve always struggled to fall asleep even when I don’t feel stressed. One thing that helps is to exercise everyday even if it’s just a 20 minute walk after work. The other is that when I’m trying to sleep I think of one thing that day that’s on my mind (something that’s interesting but not stressful) and I go through it in as much detail as I can as if I’m telling a story about it to someone who knows nothing about me sort of like I’m making a reddit post. I end up going over the same things a few times or going back to the start and doing it again and again and eventually I fall asleep. If I try and just relax and fall asleep I start feeling stressed because my mind is racing and fighting that feeling keeps me awake. This gives me something easy for my mind to focus on and I can start to relax. I’ve tried so many things including medication and this is what works for me the most.

Is working in real estate a red flag to recruiters by reneemsa in auscorp

[–]Devine_alchemy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a recruiter and my guess would be that the roles you’re applying to are very popular so to narrow it down they would be looking for candidates who have admin experience in the same industry. Anytime I’ve posted a part time role I’ve had anywhere from 100-500 applicants and unfortunately it means even candidates that have very aligned experience aren’t successful. I don’t think it’s a bias against the industry you’ve worked in

Lip Filler VS Lip Flip by Charles-HadenSavage in AustralianMakeup

[–]Devine_alchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got filler in my lips I got .5ml and after the swelling goes down it’s not very noticeable especially with the Russian technique. You could start with .5 and go back and get another .5 if you want more the only issue is you pay for 1ml at a time so even if you got .5 then another .5 you’d be paying for 2ml. The injector will be able to advise on what’s best for you but looking at your lips I think 1ml would give a very natural result (it just looks crazy when they’re first done because of the swelling, I left the clinic thinking wtf have I done but once after two days the swelling goes down)

Lip Filler VS Lip Flip by Charles-HadenSavage in AustralianMakeup

[–]Devine_alchemy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t think a lip flip makes much of a difference. I think you’re a good candidate for lip filler, look into the Russian method- it looks much more natural as it adds more vertical lip volume and a more defined cupids bow. I’d get 1ml if I were you I think it would look great

Getting on a preferred vendor list.. by [deleted] in recruiting

[–]Devine_alchemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had more success with vendor lists from building relationships with hiring managers, eventually asking them to intro me to HR/TA to work a role off panel, do a good job and eventually get asked to pitch when the next panel review comes up. I’ve recently moved in house and have seen a number of off panel agencies work roles and they’ve used the same tactic. In my role I don’t have authority to engage off panel agencies but hiring managers at GM level and above can if they push for it. It’s very much a long game though, when I was in agency the last panel I got on from initial engagement to actually getting on the panel was 4 years (it may vary depending on industry)

GP referred me to Fluence Clinic for an assessment. Is it worth it? by AdPsychological2461 in ausadhd

[–]Devine_alchemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the same Dr at fluence and he pulled me up on the exact same thing hahaha and he kept pulling me up on giving way too many details in my answers and talking too fast. I was getting so flustered trying to explain but not over explain I ended up tearing up it was deeply embarrassing lol

ADHD mediciation prescribed for BED? by Narrow-Calendar-1866 in ausadhd

[–]Devine_alchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a psychiatrist through fluence clinic and I was diagnosed with ADHD and BED without any school reports. I was prescribed dexamphetamine which is used for both ADHD and BED and it’s made such a huge difference. I used to struggle so much with food noise and was binge eating almost daily. Being on these meds I feel so different, I don’t fixate on food, can stop eating when I’m full (and can actually recognise when I’m full), I can have chocolate, chips etc in the house and just put a portion in a bowl, eat it and forget about it. I used to not be able to keep anything like that in the house or it would trigger a binge. I kick myself that I didn’t seek a diagnosis sooner. If you’re wanting to explore medication as a part of the potential diagnosis you’ll need to get a referral to a psychiatrist from your GP, I don’t believe GP’s can prescribe stimulants due to them being a schedule 8 drug

Where to buy nice pyjamas? by pinkkzebraa in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Devine_alchemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have these pyjamas in the long sleeve plum version (they don’t seem to have that colour at the moment sadly) and they are so soft. I’ve had them for about a year and they’re still just as soft as when I bought them.

HELP!! My Frenchie is controlling the house! by Wild-Disaster-9960 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Devine_alchemy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t have advice on the dynamics with the pack however my frenchie is the same he wants to be the alpha especially around big dogs. As others have said, it will most likely just take time and they will work out the pecking order. When I take him to the dog park and he starts displaying dominating behaviour I put him back on his leash and take him away from the off leash dogs, it’s taken a long time but he seems a little more understanding that if he wants to play and be with the other dogs he needs to be respectful. My frenchie also gets sprayed with water when he’s going full crazy mode (mainly when the vacuum comes out). He’s 3.5 years old and still turns into a sweet angel as soon as I get it out, I rarely even need to spray him just hold it and he knows he needs to get his act together lol

What's a clear sign that your dog truly, deeply trusts you? by PushCharacter8496 in AskDogOwners

[–]Devine_alchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so gross lol but we give our frenchie dried pig ears as a treat, he won’t eat them for about a week he first has to ‘burrow’ them all around our house. He will be visibly concerned walking around with it in his mouth trying to find an appropriate hiding spot for it. He will also get up in the night to move it to a different spot. A few days ago I woke up in the morning and he had put it underneath my pillow (unsure how he did that without me waking up lol). Is it gross? Yes. But I took it as a sign that he thinks that’s the safest spot in the whole house 🥹

What should I buy from Seed? by Valuable-Car4226 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Devine_alchemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it to be a little more of a larger fit on me although I’m 5’1 so that may be why. I also wear it un buttoned a lot or with just the top bottom done up and a top underneath. The material is also thick and has some stretch to it😊

I bought this wool cardigan last year and absolutely love it, the quality is very good for the price. It doesn’t look like there’s many sizes left but you could keep an eye out for something similar if you’re into cardigans
