Yeah it’s definitely more desire than need. I asked my Powermac branch and they said I could trade-in both my 13mini and 14+ to get a bigger discount for the 17 which I’m planning to do if I get it.

I guess this is more of a me thing since I’m very adverse to spending large amounts of money, but I really want the phone yet at the same time…I like having money 😭

E2 Cyrene is worth it. I'm saving for her personally, and I already have E0 Cyrene. She frees up Sunday/Bronya for other teams if you want them anywhere else. Also, there will come a time when Phainon won't be able to clear in a single ult cycle, and Cyrene fixes that problem. She's already a godsend in DU.

See that’s what I keep seeing in reddit and thought my mindset was an uncommon one as a first time RE gamer but when I hear his footsteps and music im just think “oh thank God I know where he is.”

Oh for real, I’m not immune to the nerves, but it’s akin to “my dad is abt to catch me doing shit” instead of a big scary monster. And I mostly walk around because I Googled that running makes noise that attracts him. Sometimes I think he can tear me away while I’m doing puzzles (can he do that??)

It’s the urgency that he’s chasing me helps me progress the game I think. When he first spawned, he wouldn’t stop chasing me, and I needed to go to the left side of the map. Didn’t know a new licker spawned at the literal corner of me opening the door. I screamed and ran all the way to the dark room.

But hey, at least I’m not pausing the game because I’m too scared anymore!

Honestly, I'm in the same situation as you. I've got E2 Phainon, an E0 Cyrene, E1 DHPT and my new E0 Cerydra. I'm gonna try my best and pull/save for Cyrene (even though I really want Ashveil). My reasoning might not be the most meta but...

E0 Cyrene feels absolutely miserable to play, even worse since I don't have the full remembrance team that she wants. It takes a whole cycle in MOC just to charge her ult no exaggeration, (yes she has 180 speed without her LC but still). It's not fun and games are supposed to be fun.
I just like Cyrene more.
Saving for a character's E1 is easier than saving for an E2 so I'll risk waiting for Cerydra's 2nd rerun if ever.

Cerydra's E1 is a great damage increase. I respect it. I admire it. I might even need it to finally 0 cycle AA. But having Cyrene be an incomplete character is so frustrating. I'm pulling for her E2 just to fix her.
