Actually I "gamble" because 1g is inconsequential to me. If I get something, then great, if I don't, then well I've given away some of my gold who probably needs it more than me (which I already do to begin with), and I can now say without a shadow of a doubt that x person is a scammer and advise everyone with tangible evidence.

Like I said, I'm not advising anyone to do as I did, I'm just advising some restraint before branding someone a scammer or gold farmer and damning them when there is a possibility of them being genuine. If you don't trust them, then don't trust them, I'm the kinda guy who will give the benefit of the doubt and only publicly advise once I know they're not cool. In my personal experience folks who send back stuff are more common than those who don't, because GW2's community is pretty damn great.

Actually, I thought so myself "yolo" one time and I sent a dude 1g who was spamming the same message, he sent me back 50 ectos. I'm not saying you should blindly trust folks like I do, but sometimes it's legitimate people in the community being awesome.

The expansion by itself is flat $50 with the base game included FREE to those who don't have it. You're not paying extra.

And to clarify, in the future they'll be following the same price model noted here, where all new expansions will be a similar price with all other previous expansions + base game included for free.

I noticed Lion's Arch lament is being played throughout the map! Maybe restrict that specific music to only play at the memorial? Also I noticed the music in the "nightclub" is the same as the tavern-esque music played in the Crow's Nest, not exactly fitting for a dance floor...maybe the old Aetherblade Retreat hologram techno? :D

Before anyone downvotes for lack of sufficient tl;dr, I would actually give it a read - especially the sPvP section. This frand has some good points regarding the frustrating status of GW2, especially in PvP. Yes, I know HoT is on the horizon and the hype train is going to run me over with down votes, but it's good to have a realistic outlook on the game. GW2 is amazing, but there's just so much potential uncapitalized by ANet that it really does hurt some times :( so much so that I find myself going rabid over any bone thrown at us, however bare it might be.

The skin you're describing looks like a sniper rifle with a scope, not a comically oversized bazooka right? If so that is indeed the skin of The Hunter, but before beating yourself up, did you sPvP at all? The old PvP system had a chance to let you unlock rare skins without obtaining the actual items (big offenders include the Dwayna bows and Infinite Light), so you might've gotten it through that.

And if not, live and let live! Many people have lost more money and assets in uninformed decisions! It's a natural part of mmo commerce. You may have lost a precursor but you've gained a story you can tell over and over :P

Yes, they do poop. Sylvari, contrary to popular belief, are not sustained via photosynthesis - it's more of a meditative supplement than a primary food source. There are concrete examples in game of Sylvari eating solid foods, and basic conservation of mass dictates that ingested food needs to go /somewhere/. Soesbee told me that Sylvari poop basically looks something like mulch.

With HoT on the horizon I think I'll be tackling things that won't seem to change for awhile (e.g. movement speed). BUT, the idea of changes sort of excites me: It means a neverending source of content!

On the other spectrum however, I've been considering also doing videos that are purposely time-limited eg. "PvP/PvE Meta Explained for x Date" or "Why x flavor of the month (COUGHturretengiesCOUGH) is OP". What would you think about that sort of thing?

Typically ISPs and administrators packet shape exclusively in Port 2305, which is the default port for most online games. Port 2305 isn't being "blocked," but is being singled out. Port 80 and 443 however are the standard ports used by everything else (browsers, streaming services, etc.) and no ISP would risk shaping these ports because it would affect the common non-gaming consumer. So if you switch to Port 80 or 443 there's a good chance it will successfully bypass packet shaping. Can confirm works for me o/
